TAKE COVER IN THE BLOOD

If a man is lying on the street with his shirt soaked in blood probably from an accident, different kinds of emotions will be exhibited by different people who pass that road. Some may feel pity. Some others anger at the person or people who did this to the man soaked in blood. Some sadness. Some gratitude that they have passed this same road many times and nothing of this nature has happened to them. But when the Bible describes Jesus in Revelation 19:13 as one wearing a robe soaked in blood, He isn't described as some helpless, weak individual one should pity. When Jesus is described as wearing a robe dipped in blood, the Bible speaks of Him in the context of one who has accomplished something AWESOME! Someone who has done something so significant that no one else was worthy or qualified to do. He is spoken of as one who deserves the utmost praise, glory and honour for what He has accomplished through the shedding of His blood (Revelation 4:8-10, Revelation 5:9).

Revelation 12:11 which tells us that we overcame by the blood of the lamb is a popular Bible verse. We quote it a lot, we use it a lot. It is one thing to know where something is written in the Bible, it is another to understand what that scripture really means. It is yet another thing to actually experience in your life what a particular Bible verse says or promises. As the year draws to an end and we get ready to step into another year, I pray that we will all experience the comprehensive divine assurance and protection we have in the blood of Jesus.

The blood of Jesus is like an all encompassing drug. The mystery behind the blood of Jesus is that it contains everything that is needed to cure any type of ailment whether it is a minor ailment or a terminal disease. Jesus' blood can cure a minor headache at the same time it can also cure stomach ache, cancer or AIDS. Jesus is called the Great Physician because He is the only one whose blood can fight and treat all diseases known and unknown to man. This month, as you take cover in the blood of Jesus, every repeated and continuous ailment God has not planted in your body will be removed by the power in the blood of Jesus so you can step into the New Year disease free!

Not only can the blood of Jesus heal every type of sickness and disease (1 Peter 2:24), it also gives protection from all manner of evil (Exodus 12:13). The same blood has the power to protect you from a car accident, at the same time it can protect you from a fire outbreak, armed robbers or from occultists. Any type of protection you need, you can get it from the blood of Jesus. Apart from this, if your life has been soiled by sin no matter how grievous the sin, you can receive cleansing and forgiveness from the blood of Jesus (1 John 1:7). Whatever you need, whatever is lacking in your body or life, the blood of Jesus has the power to supply those things into your system and your life.

Satan is on a rampage. Evil darts and arrows of sickness, accidents, death, failure and calamities are flying all over the place. This is why you need to take cover for your life and family in the blood of Jesus. No security gadget, no security service or agency has the power to do what the blood of Jesus can do for you. Take cover by believing in the power in the blood of Jesus and bringing everything about your life under the blood covering. When you are covered in the blood of Jesus, there is a special mark of protection on your life which supernaturally shields you from evil.

For the blood of Jesus to work for you, there must be no disconnection of any kind between you and Jesus the source of life and power. Has sin, daily cares and responsibilities, problems and challenges of life weakened your relationship with God?
