Look Up!

This life is full of ups and downs. As a challenger fades away, another one surfaces. So, to have a problem is not a new thing, it is part of living. The word "solution" exists because of the word "problem".

What is crucial in handling a problem is "Where do you look for solution?"

There are three places available to you for a way out but one is the best.

One.
Anytime a problem emanates, it is the simplest and cheapest to look around for a solution. This entails looking for man or means within your vicinity to end the problem. One common result of such a search is disappointments. To look around for a solution to your problem may attract failure per excellence. Man or means may let you down. Therefore watch.

What follows? The problem continues to exist, if it is not aggravated.

Two.
It is also easy to look to the influential in the society. The look will be as if they possess the right solution to your problem. Every effort will be geared towards getting connected with them to access their favor.

On the other hand, these influential or professional people may not be available to solve you problem. Where and when they are on time to lend their helping hands, the expected solution may not emerge. Sometimes, going to them may become adding insults to injuries. This may even cause you to run from one influential person to another.

Note that it is not outrightly wrong to look around and to influential people but there is a better place and Person to approach. In the words of the Psalmist,
"I look up to the mountains-
does my help comes from there?
My help comes from the Lord,
who made heaven and earth." Psalm 121:1-2. NLT.

It is far better to apply the wisdom of the singer in Israel. Anytime he is in need of any help; he remembers that the mountains (influential people) are there. He could approach any of them. However, he never forget that there is someone who is more influential. An influential Personality who can influence the influential people to act this or that way. Their hearts are always in His hands.

The wisdom of the Psalmist is to really identify the source of his help,
"the Lord who made heaven and each".

Those around you and all people in position of power and influence are ALL creatures in God's hands. The Lord is their Maker, so, Psalmist prefers making Him his source of help.

I implore you, my dear reader, henceforth, stop running around. Stop looking for influential people. Start to look up to your Maker. Rest in Him. Trust Him for ALL your needs and helps. The Lord never fails; He will never let you down!

If you do this, you will have a rest of mind because the Lord is always there for you to grant the desires of your heart. You will be at peace with Him, yourself and others around you. Therefore, look up for your helps!
Stay blessed and rapturable because the Lord is coming soon.
