Couple Embarks on Long-Term Plan for Success

From the moment they met as high school freshmen, William and Wanda knew they loved each other.

During their junior year, they began dating. On the day they graduated from high school, William asked Wanda to marry him.

"I love you with all my heart," William said.

"It will be a marriage made in heaven," Wanda promised.

Although they loved each other, William and Wanda agreed it wasn't practical to get married right away. "We need to graduate from college, so we will be prepared for the quality income opportunities God will bring our way," said William.

"Then we need to get jobs, work for a few years and save several thousand dollars," Wanda opined.

William and Wanda decided to put God first in their relationship and their marriage. "I think we should begin tithing and continue that practice after we're married," said Wanda.

"We should also give some money in the offering and designate those funds for missions," said William.

Four years later, Wanda and William graduated from the local university. Wanda's parents and William's mom and dad helped with tuition costs, but both Wanda and William worked on campus to defer the remaining education costs.

"We must not be saddled with school debt when we get married," William insisted.

Wanda was hired as a teller at the local bank. Within a few years, she was promoted to branch manager.

William was hired as a car salesman at a nearby auto dealership. He was quickly promoted to manager of the new car sales department.

Seven years after graduating from the university, William once again popped the question, "Wanda, will you marry me?"

"Of course," Wanda promised.

A few months later, Wanda and William were married at the church they attended. Pastor Wayne performed the ceremony, which was followed by a reception in the church's fellowship hall.

"Where are you going on your honeymoon?" asked Willa, Wanda's best friend.

"Not very far," sighed Wanda. "We're trying to save money, so we just plan to visit a few nearby towns."

"We do plan to travel a lot later in life," William explained. "But now we think it's wiser to be frugal with our money."

Forty years later, Wanda and William had completed their careers and raised four children. "Now," William said, "We want to see this big beautiful world our God created."

William and Wanda traveled for several years, enjoying the majesty of God's world. They decided to publish a book to share the experiences of their travels. "What do you think we should call the book?" asked William.

'"God's Wonderful Wonders as Experienced by Wanda and William,'" Wanda replied.

"Sounds Like a Best Seller to Me," replied William. "Sounds Like a Best Seller to Me."
