Three Steps Getting Back on Track

by Janice S Ramkissoon
7/29/2007 / Christian Living

Step One: SEEK UNDERSTANDING

When we understand that God has a plan for us, we will release all into His hands. That, my friend, is total submission. So get busy seeking God's direction through:

Prayer
Fasting
Reading His Word
Gathering with the saints for fellowship
Being attentive to His voice

Step Two: FOLLOW HIS INSTRUCTIONS

When you read the bible, apply the instructions to your daily life. Be obedient, and then you will receive all His promises. You will enjoy a personal relationship with Him and that is when you will truly begin to have a worship experience. When you start to worship Him, you will crave more and more of Him. You'll wonder what you've been doing all these years, being a luke-warm Christian. From people-pleasing you will be free. He will teach you all you need to know and you will find that you'll handle situations much better.

Mountains that once hindered you, will now seem like just a temporary obstacle and before long, you'll find that it has disappeared. This happens when you are busy worshipping God (instead of focusing on your mountains) and God is busy removing the mountains you face or paving the way for you. Always remember that God will not give you more than you can bear. Do not under-estimate the fact that God has empowered you to deal with each trial as we see in Philippians 4:13. This will help you not to retreat when trials come your way. It will also free your mind from confusion, when you get varying advice from relatives and friends. When you get to this place - STAY FREE.

Step Three: PRAISE HIM

Once you are in a worship mode, you will naturally begin to give God Praise. Then you will praise Him when things are going your way and when they are not. Your generosity will no longer depend on the depth of your prosperity. You will praise Him because He gave you a 'new' song to sing. You will praise Him because you understand that you are here for His pleasure and He longs for your worship. You will give Him your all because you know that the alternative will lead you astray. When your cup is full and running over, there is no way you can maintain all that joy, you just have to share it with others and pass the blessing on. In so doing, bring honour to His name.

Growing in Christ is the best thing you can do. It is the best advice I can give. So, continue to grow in Christ and enjoy the blessings it bring. Share with others, so they too can be free from satan's grip. If you should succumb to the enemy's tricks just be reminded that God's Grace is sufficient for you (2nd Corinthians 12:9).

Stay in His presence and stay FREE.
Love & Blessings.
