Let The Word Of God Heal You Also.

"For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart."Hebrews 4:12. .

This is the effect and efficiency of the Word of God. It has the power to work into the whole system of man. It can heal the spirit, soul and body. There is nothing it cannot do.

One sad thing is the fact that God's Word, read or heard ie preached to you need to be taken seriously. The secret of success in life was revealed to Joshua in the first chapter of his book in verse eight by the Lord thus,
"This book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it.
For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success." NKJV.

The Word of the Lord heals! The result can be amazing if God's Word is applied to your life. Application is the key.

Scriptures in Psalm 107:20 reveals
"He sent his word and healed them, snatching them from the door of death." New Living Translation.

This was the case with a grandma who shared a testimony on July 4, 2015.

Who is this woman?

She is a believer of many years in Christ. She obtained a certificate in theology many years ago. Not only this, she is a gifted and trained Sunday School teacher. She had attended and worked faithfully in many churches. She is currently enrolled in a Bible school to undergo a course in Ministerial Studies.

With all these, the grandmother had an ailment. What was it?

She said in a discussion,
"I am a little healed from my madness recently."

Are you taken aback? I was also! What kind of madness? I wondered because I am sure she was never out of her mind since I knew her. I was more curious to hear her story in full.

At the end of her story, what she tagged "madness" is a problem so many Christians grope with and are comfortable with. What was it?

She was churlish!

According to her, she was a "no nonsense" wonan. She admitted that she was harsh to those around her. She wanted everything to go exactly in her way. No room to accommodate another person's opinion and was boldly rude.

How was she healed?

This woman attended a three-day revival organised by Christian Association of Nigeria zone 22, area three which was hosted by Christ Restland Gospel Church in Ibadan. Oyo State. Nigeria.

On the second day of the revival, the revivalist spoke extensively on how Christians impair the spread of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. He gave a practical example of a woman who by tolerance won a gentile neighbour who at all costs wanted a regular fight with her, a Christian.

This grandmother noted the story and the Scriptures quoted. This was all the capsule needed and she took it and was healed of her hitching quality. According to her, she is now a close friend of that woman who has never been in good terms with her. She also revealed that same woman now confides in her. So soon?

Dear reader, how do you react to the Word of God? When you meditate in it, what influence does it have on you? When you listen to a preacher's sermon, how do you feel? What is your usual response? Do you pray to apply the Word of God?

Eschew arrogance please. It is not too late for you to be healed of your bad behavior which impairs the spread of Gospel of Jesus Christ and your progress in life.

Irrespective of your age, education, profession, position or wealth, the counsel remains,
"Repent therefore and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, so that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord'" Acts 3:19.

If the Word of the Lord healed this grandma, it can heal you also. Therefore, be healed!
