The Power Of Naming Your Day-Secret Of A Victorious Life

by Ngozi Nwoke
7/17/2015 / Christian Living

How would you want your day to be? How you begin a day, to a great deal, determines how it will end. And you being a product of God's mastermind have the power to stir your day on your desired path with the use of your mouth. What you call your day is what it will answer. This article gives the importance of speaking forth what you want to see every day of your life.

A man's stomach shall be satisfied from the fruit of his mouth; from the produce of his lips he shall be filled. Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it will eat its fruit - Proverbs 18:20-21 (NKJV)

Out of the ground the Lord God formed every beast of the field and every bird of the air, and brought them to Adam to see what he would call them. And whatever Adam called each living creature, that was its name - Genesis 2:19 (NKJV)

Naming your every day is the secret of a victorious life in this world.

It is one of the mysteries of earthly dominion. Like Adam, whatever you call your day is what it will bear. It is a statement that gives a glimpse of what your day will be or a prayer that the day should live up to the potential expressed. Calling your day a name establishes your control over the day. You are not leaving it to chance.

You are filled from the produce of your lips and the fruits of your mouth determine how satisfied you will be with your day. Furthermore, death and life are in the power of the tongue and wise use of it will cause you to experience victory, success, good health and prosperity every day of your life - Proverbs 18:20-21. And Jesus said in Luke 21:15 that He would give you a mouth and wisdom which all your adversaries will not be able to contradict or resist. So, use it and enjoy dominion every day.

Naming your day is prophesying into that day and you will have whatsoever you say - Mark 11:23. This is an instrument of dominion that is often neglected to the detriment of your everyday success in life. You need to name your day, so that God will subdue your enemies and turn His hands against your adversaries - Psalm 81:10-14

What do I prophesy, you may ask?

It is declaring God's word over your day and making proclamation based on God's promises. As Ezekiel prophesied as he was commanded by God, the bones came together, bone to his bone, and when breath came into them, they lived and stood up upon their feet, an exceeding great army - Ezekiel 37:7-10. There was a process as he prophesied but surely something was going on until they emerged as an exceeding great army. Naming your day starts off a process that will eventually culminate into your desired result.

For instance you declare thus: Today shall be a great day, full of testimonies, victories and success. It shall be a joy full day, the favour of God shall encompass me and the wisdom of God shall guide me throughout today. This day is blessed; the blessings of God that makes rich and adds no sorrow shall overshadow me and overtake me. It shall be a super-sales day.

It shall be a stagnation-free and struggle-free day. No weapon formed against me shall prosper and every tongue that rises against me in judgment I condemn. No sickness or disease is permitted in my body or territory for I serve God. God shall enlarge my footsteps so that I will not fall into any trap of the enemy today. And because God is for me, no one can be against me. Today shall be most peaceful in Jesus name.

Hindrances to the fulfillment of a day's name

Unrighteousness

Sin separates you from God and hides God's face from you, so that He would not hear you - Isaiah 59:2. And when God can't hear you, all your proclamation will be a noisy gong or clanging cymbal. Therefore, it is important that you have a right standing with God so that your day will answer to its name.

Unbelief

Naming your day will not profit you if not mixed with faith - Hebrews 4:2.Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen, by it you obtained a good testimony - Hebrews 11:1. You will only have what you say when you don't harbour doubt in your heart - Mark 11:23

Naming your day may be what you are lacking in achieving your daily desires. God has given us the power to name things, including our days, and they would be as they are named. Choose to speak life into your days and every day will be a glorious day.
