A Sure Source Of Promotion

by Olawale Ogunsola
7/27/2015 / Christian Living

Promotion is a craving of every sound.minded man. Stagnation is an enemy of your soul. To remain on the same level for a long time had caused many people to commit suicide; while it lowered the esteem of so many persons.

There are so many ways by which people seek promotion. Many of then end in disappointments. Those who seemed to be promoted soon from wrong sources got demoted or are embarrassed in the position for various reasons. Not only this, many live in fear of the unknown as others are threatened on daily basis in the position they occupy by using other sources.

Certain people who run to the devil for promotion and looked as if they got it pay costly prices for doing so. This is in two ways:
*in this life; and
*at the end of this life.

Do you know that there is a sure source of promotion? This source is very sure that no failure can come from Him. His promotion may look slow but it is steady and sure.

The assurance is this,
"For promotion cometh neither from the east, nor from the west, nor from the south.
But God is the Judge, he putteth down one, and setteth another." Psalm 75:6-7. KJV.

I want you to note these three things about this sure source of promotion:
One.
You do not need to run up and down to be promoted. No effort must be wasted on going to four corners of the earth because you want to be promoted. You will end up disappointed or become a "victim" of your promotion.

Therefore, "Fear ye not, stand still and see the salvation (promotion) of the Lord..." Exodus 14:13. KJV.

Two.
Take note that the only sure source of promotion is the Judge. It means
a) One who judges right. He knows HOW to promote an individual (you), WHEN to promote, as well as WHERE to do it.

Let me explain each briefly using Joseph's life as a guide from the Holy Bible.
HOW?
How did He promote Joseph? He made use of his gifts. He made a prison connection between Joseph and king's butler. He used dreams and its interpretations to make him a Prime Minister. You also have some gifts that the Lord can use to promote you, whether you recognise it or not. Even if you do not have one he has that exclusive right to endow you with a gift. He made king Pharaoh to dream dreams for which he needed interpretation. Joseph did this and was promoted without any opposition front anybody .
WHEN?
Not only this, the Lord also knows the ripe time to promote you. Note that "For everything there is a season" and as a righteous Judge knows the right time to do this because
"God has made everything beautiful four.letter its own time."(Ecclesiastes 3:1,11)NLT.

God never act amiss! So, you must add waiting patiently to your pursuit of promotion.

Please pay a serious attention to the life of Joseph in Egypt. He lived in the land for years before he was promoted to become a Prime Minister. He arrived Egypt as a slave to become a senior slave; he then became a prisoner to become a senior prisoner. From there he was promoted a Prime Minister.

There is a time for your promotion; God knows this. Wait on Him.

WHERE.
In the same vein, there is a place for your promotion. You may not know this but the Lord knows. It means that you may be looking for promotion in the wrong place. To promote you in a wrong place may not only be dangerous but spell your doom. Why don't you allow One who knows everything handle your elevation?

To Joseph's story again. Joseph was a stranger in Egypt but a position was divinely reserved for him where he ruled successfully.

Three.
You must have a relationship with someone who has oranges to access one orange. Your enmity with an orange owner will certainly deny you an orange. To be promoted, maintain a very close relationship with your Maker through the Lord Jesus Christ. The Lord says,
"For apart from me you can do nothing." John 15:5. NLT

This is the true position for your promotion. The Lord is promoting people; He can promote you. He is ever ready to do it.

Therefore, do away with your wrongdoings, accept Him as your Lord and Savior. Obey His instructions now and in the future. Trust totally in Him and cleave to Him eternally. Then you will have an assurance of promotion.
Stay blessed and rapturable because the Lord is coming soon to promote His saints from this earth to where He is.
NOTE:
KJV. is King James Version of the Holy Bible.
NLT. is New Living Translation.
