OUR MARRIAGE IS YOUNG BUT STRONG!

We wed everyday!
We create enough time to play
We pray like men and play like kids
A Christ-like heart is the key
It never gets boring
Grace from Heaven keeps outpouring!
This isn't a fairy movie
It's real, it's how we're living

Today, we're just four months old
But we've learned lessons untold
Truth is, no marriage would work
Except both couple walk the talk
The first love must be guarded and nurtured
Because without taking care of it, it would be punctured

No marriage is without a challenge
But the trials are intended to bring positive attitudinal change
One surest way to make your marriage work
Is to deliberately pay heed to the Word
It may sound mean or foolish
But failure to humbly obey could cause the relationship to perish!

We can't do without the Holy Ghost and His word!
Obeying the word creates enough room for the Lord
He fills our hearts with grace and love towards our spouse
And makes the aroma of His joy be perceived in our house!
Marriages go sour and homes scatter
Because their daily conducts are not in keeping with Jesus', even the Father!

We made up our minds to make our marriage work
And the enemy is raging against it in fiery wars
We are not ignorant of his devices
God is helping us to be sober and vigilant by His mercies
When one is offended, (a times over something insignificant. Lol) we go inside and sincerely discuss it
We make sure that in our hearts are found no bitterness or impurity
For such negativity hinders us from God's Presence and home-made blessings

We constantly in all things cleave to each other
By consciously and unconsciously doing things together
Without struggles, we are daily becoming one in actuality
Both in views, desires and personality

Transparency is part of our core secrets
Our hearts are unveiled in all sincerity
We seek each other's good
And in love we speak the truth
I am there for her, to protect her
To defend and cherish her with my whole heart
It is my noble duty
And with joy I'm doing it!

Firmly united, we guard against outside distractions that might arise
And on God's amazing plans we set our eyes
With care and God's fear we handle finances and in-laws
Friends, neighbours and even the task of house chores
We wisely make sure nothing comes between us

She's not my slave
She's my bone, my flesh, my self
She needs my support spiritually, and physically
The words of my mouth and my attitudes toward her should be that of love and acceptance emotionally

This is how a couple can live happily ever after in reality
It's a labour; a rewarding responsibility!
This is not a fairy tale
If we're to marry again
We would still stick to God's will
To have His original pattern of marriage in us fulfilled!
