GENESIS - Chapter 1

Prayer
Lord, I praise you for you are the mighty Creator. You spoke and all things came into existence. You spoke, and light appeared out of nowhere. You divided lands and seas merely by your Word.

Through your Word, the animals came into existence. Lord, I bless you for the creation of the human race. I thank you for we are made in your image and the dominion you gave us over the land, the sea and the air and all that is in them.

You created all things and they exist for your pleasure. May I live to please you. I praise you, O mighty Creator.

Lord, in the name of Jesus, I ask that the light of your countenance will always be with me. Speak your light and power into my situation.

Turn my darkness into light, and my mourning into dancing. Create in me a desire to love you more and to obey you in all areas of my life.

GENESIS Chapter 2

Prayer
Lord, I praise you for the institution of marriage and family. I will not take it for granted. I pray for the marriages of my family and friends where the original purpose for which you created marriage has not stood firm.

Restore love and respect in these marriages. Heal hurts and disappointments and grant them a new beginning in Jesus' precious name.

As you instructed Adam not to eat from a certain tree, help me to know your will and to obey you in every aspect of life. May I be off limits from what you have forbidden me to do in Jesus' name.

GENESIS Chapter 3

Prayer
Lord, I thank you for your love for the human race. Though Adam and Eve disobeyed you, you still loved them. You promised that the seed of the woman would bruise the head of the serpent.

Thank you, Lord, for not giving up on us. Thank you for the gift of Jesus Christ to the world. I praise you Lord.

Lord, deliver me from all temptation. When the tempter comes to divert me from your Word, enable me to see through him and use your Word to combat the temptation. Lord, you have my loyalty.

When I am weak in the face of temptation, be my strength and grant me the grace to resist it. When I fall into sin, may I own up to it, repent from it, confess it and trust you for the forgiveness of my sins. Lord, may I never lose your presence in my life.
