GODHOOD DENIAL

by Linda Wattley
10/22/2015 / Christian Living

We must admit that no matter how much we love our children, some of us fail to reach the depth of their souls. Communication seems to become more and more difficult as they mature in age. Everyone is discussing the serious problems existing among our youth. Neither our clergymen nor our psychologists have come up with productive solutions to rid our children of their passive outlook on life and their lack of concern for the future. Being that this is such an old issue, you would think by now there was a perfect solution to the problem.

Actually, the problem does not pertain to our children. The problem centers on the parents or the children's overseers. No one wants to accept the reality or responsibility that each child born in this world is a little god entrusted to us to assist them in the total spiritual awakening of their godhood. Instead of dealing with this truth in the beginning, we choose to take these little gods and make them overly humanized just like our adult keepers made us. The denial of this truth sets the stage for battle, for the child will never give up his identity as a child of God even if it means being punished.

This creates a barrier between the adults and the children because of the lack of understanding. The adults experience hostility and resentment towards the child, even though they love and care about them. Resentment and hostility festers from the adults because they begin to see how helpless they are in molding the child to be accepted by society. So this brings about a responsibility-love more so than a pure-love which understands the usage of spiritual laws. The child, on the other hand, becomes more dependent on his or her own mind to develop a means of protection from conformity. They become mental warriors, seeing satisfaction in having things their way and getting everything they want. They are aware of divine love; therefore, they see our love and caring as a way of life due to them simply because they exist.
If we were to slow down and begin to deal with the reality of the little gods, spirit will reveal to us our errors of upbringing the children.

Without this knowledge and wisdom, we are creating our own hell. We are robbing ourselves of the unity that should be shared between us and our children. But even more devastating is the unnecessary chaos we are bringing to our world.

Most of us will refuse to entertain this truth because it would demand we know God and the essence of His spiritual being. It would force us to no longer talk of love and spirit, but to demonstrate it as well.

Instead of finding contentment in supplying our children's minds with outside values of the world, we would dedicate committed hours for revealing the treasures of the inner kingdom. No longer would our children seek outer satisfaction through drugs, alcohol, sports, parties and gang wars, they would prefer to learn to silence their being in order that they may witness and bask in the spirit of their Creator.

Spiritually-fed infants would change the direction of our lives because they would bring forth pure love which constantly begets more love. The division of the age differences would be terminated, therefore, communication can be fruitful and harmonious. No longer would there be adults against children and children against adults. We would naturally be one.
