TRUTH VERSUS FACTS

by Ramona Cook
11/28/2015 / Christian Apologetics

This day has begun and in it I will live as if it is true that Creator God of Heaven, Earth, and all other places that are, really does exist, and is in fact Who He says He is, and is the way He says He is.

I have no problems that are beyond His control to fix. I find that confidence in the Book He has provided for us to learn about Him, and to learn how to live life successfully here on earth.

The things God tells us to do, and the things He tells us to not do, are all for our benefit.

We would benefit if we would read, and agree, doing and not doing as He has instructed. Our troubles are of our own making more times than not. When they are not of our own making God is aware, and when we call out to Him He will deliver us; God controls details, minute details. He says so in the Bible.

Some will say, "But how can I believe the Bible? Science proves the Bible wrong so much of the time!"

That question I will answer with two questions: "How many times does Science have to back up and restate the facts they offer?" How often does the Bible back up and restate Its case?

Here is the truth: Science often thinks it has all the facts and reports them as such only to discover later, sometimes years later, that they have new facts that alter the facts as they knew them before; the Bible never restates a fact; it is therefore, TRUTH, as is always discovered when all the information of the science disciplines is in.

Statements of fact, make by those who scribbed the words of God as long as 5000 and 3000 and 2000 years ago, continue to say what was said at that time, and when Science gets to the end of their discovery of facts, they find that the Bible was accurate in detail, all that time.

We absolutely can trust what the Bible says.

Even secular history validates the facts written in the Bible. The Nation of Hittites, of which the Bible speaks, was called a fallacy by the scientists until the entire Nation of the Hittites was excavated.

Daniel was called the third ruler in the Kingdom of Babylon and the scientist said, "Error!" until secular historical writings were found that said the same thing.

"The life is in the blood" the Bible says, and George Washington was bled to death by scientists trying to lower his fever, as was the acceptable practice of that day. Today science agrees with the Bible. We now know that life is indeed in the blood, and our blood will tell the status of our health. Our blood is "life" in our body.

The instances of Biblical accuracy, in the face of sciences nay-sayers, is a list too long to compile for such a writing as this, but the point is made, "The Bible is a trustworthy document to be read and believed."

What other has prophesied the end form the beginning than Our God?

How did John on the Isle of Patmos know about satellites? John scribed what he was told by the Lord, that in the end, yet to come, two Prophets of God will lie dead in the streets of Jerusalem and the entire earth will look upon their bodies for three days. Until the recent years, that was not a reasonable expectation; but God knows the end from the beginning.

So I believe that God is Who He says that He is, and that He does what He says He will do.

Some of the statements made in the Bible give us insight into God's thoughts and ways. The Book of Job is one good source indicator of God's ways of handling things.

Some people recoil at a statement such as that: they say that "My God is not One Who allows distressful things to come to anyone."

If we read the Book in entirety we learn the answer for WHY God does permit distressful things to come to people. It is because we are not living the life He gave to us according the instructions He has given to us, telling us what does and what does not work. That is clearly and repeatedly stated in the Book of Job.

Job was living by the rules, so to speak, but Job was doing it by intentional rote and not with true relationship with God. Since God made us for relationship with Him, when He can see that is our desired intention, He will educate us that there is more of Him to be experienced. Often that requires that we be uncomfortable so that we look up to Him and get true information about Him, and draw closer to Him resulting in a closer relationship.

God makes it clear to Job that He knows every detail of everything He has made; even the hippopotamus and the crocodile, the birds, the things we call "inanimate" also communicate with Him.

God' s voice is in the thunder and He sends the snow and rain, so He says in the Book of Job. He it is Who causes the food to grow and provides everything we need. He it is that watches over the forming of and the birth of every living thing.

So, what do we do with the knowledge of the things we see? To what do we give tribute of acknowledgement ? We have all heard of "Mother Nature." The Pagans answer for why the earth is and operates the way that it does.

It is no wonder that our children have questions about whether there is a God! We have taught them to see "Mother Nature" when the world is beautiful and also when it convulses.

There is no "Mother Nature!" There is only "Father God!"

We will begin to know God better when seeing the earth's beauty and it's harshness, that we acknowledge that Father God does it, and we will relax when we understand that Father God is in constant control.

We will respect God, and we will not be afraid of His wrath IF we have set our heart to agree with Him. He is a kind, loving, and generous God.

He provides for us everything we need, including salvation from the sin of Adam, which by the natural process of birth becomes our inherited sin also; He provides salvation freely, without a price. He did that Himself, making for Himself a body like ours so that He could make the sacrifice of blood to buy us back to Himself.

Like everything else we receive from God our Father, we do need to accept it. Agree with God!

These facts from the Scriptures are Truth.

Truth does not change nor is it subject to revision.

Some Facts are not Truth; but real Truth is not only factual, it is true without change.
