Turn Your Pain into a Gain

Pain perturbs but can it purify?
Pain pricks and prunes with purpose sometimes.
Pain, not pleasing, but piercing and pestering.
Find pain's purpose, get past the hurt.

Pain can pay when handled the right way.
Look now beyond the pain for the gain.
Pain may bring rain and strain in its train.
Pray when in pain, dignity maintain.

Pain can come in a bang,
with pangs and fangs.

Pain can rattle, unsettle, put you in a battle
But pain focused on deepens, widens and frightens.
Pain robs off the wrong way again and again.

Turn your pain into a gain.
Use it as a ladder to climb
To higher heights and deeper depths.
In pain? Remain sane, reign. rise above the pain.

How? Look to Him who took your pain.
Refrain from murmur, anger and rage.
Let his face and grace, grace your race.
In the maze, blaze his praise all of your days
