Text: Psalm 104 : 27 - 28 (NIV)
God's time is always the RIGHT time and the BEST time. When He eventually opens His Hand, we will always be satisfied with what is in it. Note that verse 28 does not say "content" which implies 'making do with', but "satisfied" which means having one's needs and desires fully met.
Difficult as the waiting period may be, and however fraught with temptation, God assures us that in the end we will not be disappointed with the final result (Psalm 25:3 (ERV)). It will prove to have been worth the wait. A preacher once said: "Whatever God intends to give you, IF YOU WAIT FOR IT, will always be better than anything that you could have got by yourself". When next you are tempted to go ahead of God, remember these words and let them encourage you.
Waiting for God is a sign of faith and trust in Him, for only those that believe His promise will be able to wait patiently for its manifestation (Isa. 28:16). This is why God asks in Luke 18:8, "Nevertheless, when the Son of Man comes, will he find faith on earth?". Let us not be as those whose faith falters and fails, for the Lord is not pleased with such (Heb. 10:38).
God bless you as you wait for His time!
Lord, give me the faith that trusts You enough to wait for You. Amen
