Money Is Not All In Life, God Is All In All!

What place does money have in your life? Does it dictate your peace, joy and how you walk in love? God desires that you prosper but not at the expense of His relationship with you and the work He has for you. Money is not everything; it is God who is all in all.

Command those who are rich in this present age not to be haughty, nor to trust in uncertain riches but in the living God, who gives us richly all things to enjoy. Let them do good, that they be rich in good works, ready to give, willing to share, storing up for themselves a good foundation for the time to come, that they may lay hold on eternal life (1 Timothy 6:17-19, NKJV).

People do so many things for the purpose of getting money at the end. Many people actually do the work of God for what they can get from God, most of the time all the desires translate to desire for more money. You should beware of love of money, which is the root of all evil, (1 Timothy 6:10). Your trust should be in God who gives you ALL THINGS TO ENJOY. All the Lord is asking for is that you make Him number one in your life and He will give you all things to enjoy.

Focusing on what you can get from God denies you of the blessing of a wonderful relationship with God. Money is not all in life. God is awesome when you truly get to know a bit of Him. As you deepen your relationship with the Lord, He reveals more and more of Himself to you. THERE IS MORE TO GOD THAN YOU HAVE EVER SEEN OR HEARD and we can only know Him in part (1 Corinthians 13:9). He is magnificent and endearing! The people who have seen Christ want to see more of Him and those who have seen a glimpse of heaven want to quickly go there.

Why would you chase the shadow when you can have the real thing? God is the source and giver of enduring riches. When you have Jesus you have all. It is God who teaches you to profit (Isaiah 48:17), so no doubt, God wants you to have money but not more than you want Him. He said in Matthew 6:33 that you should seek first the kingdom of God and every other thing will be added to you.

Focus on making the host of heaven to rejoice and surely, goodness and mercy will follow you all the days of your life (Psalm 23:6). Focus on hearing God say to you, "well done, you good and faithful servant" (Matthew 25:23) and like Solomon, God will give you all you asked for and the ones you didn't ask for, including riches (1 Kings 3:11-13).

Run after God and God will entrust His wealth to you, knowing that it will never take you away from Him, but that you will use it to do good works (1 Timothy 6:18). God is a jealous God (Exodus 34:14); He will not share His glory or praise with anything (Isaiah 42:8). God wants the entire you: spirit, soul and body, not half of you. God wants your heart (Proverbs 23:26) from which every other thing comes out (Luke 6:45). Give God what He wants and He will give you what you want.

All our fathers in the bible were all recorded to be wealthy, but they first followed God whole-heartedly. Abraham left everything to follow God without thinking of himself or of tomorrow, and God blessed him greatly (Genesis 24:35). Isaac also followed God and the Lord so blessed him that the Philistines envied him (Genesis 26:12-14). Furthermore, the scriptures also recorded that Jacob was a wealthy man (Genesis 30:43). Lastly, but not the least, Jesus Christ was sold out to God and He never lacked. God provided for Him all the time He was on earth. Even, one fish supplied the money He needed at one point.

In conclusion, money is not all in life, God is all in all! Allow Him to be so in your life and every other thing including money will become your portion.
