Dear God-tracker

GOD-TRACKING IS TO NEVER STOP PRAYING FOR MIRACLES, WHILE YOU WAIT FOR HIM TO MOVE

Isaiah 55:9
For as the heavens are higher than the earth,
so are my ways higher than your ways
and my thoughts than your thoughts.

In his autobiography, Living a Life of Fire, Reinhard Bonke tells the story of how, when he was a child, a large ocean liner docked in the port near where he lived. He says that he was intrigued by this great vessel, tethered to the quay by ropes. He walked up to its hull and touched it. Then he tells of how he began to gently press against the ship and, to his amazement, his 10-year old frame was able to move this great vessel a few inches in the water, with ease. He goes on to point out that the tide was in and the ship was afloat. However, on a different occasion, when he tried to do the same thing, the ship would not budge. It occurred to him that the tide was out and the ship was resting on the sea bed beneath the harbour. Although he still had the strength the faith to move the ship with his bare hands, the conditions at that time were just not right.

Jesus taught in a parable that faith the size of a mustard seed can move mountains. Faith is a very powerful commodity. Faith comes by God's Word and faith reaps rewards from the Lord. When we pray in faith, God performs miracles: heals the sick, delivers demons and meets our needs. In faith we have power to even command the elements of nature, as Jesus did on the Sea of Galilee. However, there are times when, although we still have the faith the size of a mustard seed, we see no results. Why? I venture to say, it's because the conditions are not right.

Scripture tells us to wait on God and seek him with all our hearts and to call on him while he is near. His ways are higher than our ways and his thoughts are higher than our thoughts so, when we seek God, we subject our ways and our thoughts to his. Timing is crucial in expecting mountain moving miracles. Sometimes our timing is way out of God's timing. So when we pray for a need and receive no results, we become despondent; convinced that God doesn't answer prayer. But he does always answer prayer in his time!

Sometimes we may see instant miracles when we pray, while at other times we don't. Perhaps it's at these times that the answer the Lord is giving is, wait and be patient. At times like these we need to wait for conditions to line up with God's tide before we try to move that ocean liner with our hands. Faith always activates answered prayer. You see, faith is like the water around the hull of the ship you're trying to move, but sometimes the need you're praying for may be grounded on the rocks, because the tide is out. Perhaps you'll need to wait for the tide to come in before you can move that obstacle in your life.

So never give up! Keep on praying for that need while you wait for the tide to rise. Seek the Lord continually in faith (faith rises from God's Word) and wait for him to orchestrate those conditions according to his sovereign purposes so that you can go ahead and move those mountains.

God-tracking is to never stop praying for miracles, while you wait for him to move.

Every blessing

Dudley

Don't Give Up, Look Up!

I will pray and praise you for the answers I seek, while I wait for the tide of faith to rise in my heart and the conditions of my need to come in line with your purposes.

Pray
"Dear Lord, I'm sorry for becoming impatient in prayer. Forgive me for doubting that you will meet my need. I firmly believe that it is your will to heal the sick, deliver the oppressed and proved for the needy. Therefore, I will continue to pray, while I wait. I will pray and praise you for the answers I seek, while I wait for the tide of faith to rise in my heart and the conditions of my need to come in line with your purposes. Thank you that you always meet my needs and answer my prayers. Amen."
