Humble knight of our God and King,
Truth for our lives you gladly bring.
Parched ground your readied feet have trod,
Dutifully your flock you sometimes prod.

Faithful servant of our worthy Lord,
Stand strong and sure as you wield His sword.
You give us the truth at any cost,
Knowing if not our souls will be lost.

God knew with you His word He could trust;
At the proper time you will reap a harvest.



I wrote this for my pastor. I've realized more and more of late the need to lift up our pastors in our prayer and in our words to them. Feel free to use this poem as is or adapted for your pastor.
