They Didn't Ask Me

by Florence Simmons
7/28/2016 / Salvation

Forty nine victims were snuffed out at a Gay Bar in Orlando, FL, on June 12, 2016. None of these killed had any reason to think this evening would be their last minutes to live. I wonder how ready they were to die.

They did not ask me or I could have given them a few pointers on how to prepare beforehand. We prepare for tests or major projects all the time, and it is the same with preparing to die. In fact, we all need to search and be more diligent to know the right answer to this major question. We do not want to be frivolous or haughty on the topic of death or life.

Since they did not ask me, I thought it best to send out at least some of this life-changing wisdom to keep all up to date. We dont want anyone to be unprepared. Of course this exceptional wisdom, worth more than a bucket of gold, only prepares a person who accepts it with the understanding that it must be applied to be effective.

Here is the revelation I would have shared with them:

There is really only One God, the Maker of the Universe. We all will give an account to Him for what we did with our lives on earth. So living with His direction and guidelines makes the difference when we approach Him.

He loves us passionately. He saw us formed in our mothers womb. Why would He not love the one He has made and designed?

He is concerned about our decisions, and He has given us helpful guidelines on how to live. You see, sin cannot enter heaven. Jesus Christ, Gods Son, loves us so much that He took our penalty, our place, and became our substitute so that we could be forgiven and enter heaven.

The most crucial decision we will ever make is to ask Jesuss forgiveness for our sins and to receive Him in our hearts. The blood He spilled on the cross paid our penalty to be forgiven, and we can have that forgiveness if we call upon His name. This decision is crucial since it determines where we go once we die. Yes, there is a heaven and a hell.

Just think, we have the opportunity to make our own decision ahead of death; we get to choose, and the choice is up to each of us. We will not be able to change our decision after death.

Christ has a much better plan, one that will bless us and give us joy and direction for a better life. So choose wisely. You will never regret His plan.

Well, this is the life‒saving information I wanted those that died to know and now you, too, have this information and opportunity. Consider wisely and quickly decide. In our world of uncertainty, only God knows what the future holds.
