The Letter She Wrote To Richard Her Husband

by Tesse Wilson
8/12/2016 / Marriage

My love, there is something that has been bothering me. I feel that you are distant from me. I feel jealous sometimes when I see you chatting and laughing so cheerfully with your friends and relatives. When you are in a very good mood we may chit chat just a little about sports, politics, anything else but you avoid talking about things personal to us. There are things between us that need to be resolved. I want us to dialogue. I want to feel more connected to you. I want you to speak willingly to me, don't wait for me to start a conversation.

Richard I want more than nods and yes and no answers. I want you to show interest in me the way you do in your work, mobile phone and laptop. I want your friendship. Richard let us have fellowship. Share your thoughts and ideas with me. Tell me of your desires, recent goals and dreams. Tell me what makes you spark. What concerns you have. What challenges you may be facing that I am not unaware of. Tell me what is in your heart.

You don't say much so I don't know what is going on with you. I feel like an outsider. When I do need to ask a question you may not answer verbally and when you answer, you do so bluntly. You get irritated when I keep apologizing even when there is no need to. But I now feel so nervous around you, nervous to approach you. It is clear that you are displeased about something. I do not want to assume the wrong thing. I am wondering;
Is it something I said
Is it something I did not say
Is it something I did
Is it something I did not do

My darling how can we love and grow together if we cannot just talk honestly and kindly to each other.

Frustrating! Your silence and this distant attitude frustrates me. I am an emotional being. Yes Christ fulfills me, but this woman still wants some emotional support and fulfillment from you the man who once profess so much love for me.

I want a deep connection with you, this can achieved. We can start with an open and honest conversation.

Please Richard! My heart aches. No good- morning, hi, hello, how was your day, or how are you. I am so confused. I am praying, hoping that you would enjoy talking to me the same way you enjoy touching me.

Am not making demands. I am not blaming you. I am only seeking to understand what happen between you and me. My darling Richard please let us work together to solve this problem. Richard let us have right communication. Let us just talk, no arguments. Let us resolve this.

I have written this letter with the deepest concern and yet the strongest hope for us, for our relationship. I miss your gentleness.

My darling Richard please respond. I am praying that you will...

All good gifts come from the Lord. Tesse is happy to be gifted by the Lord to write. It is her prayer that her writings will bless, encourage and inspire others. Thank God for his Spirit who gives inspiration and his grace which enables her.
