They Tell You Lies: Dare You Believe Them

Every rational person likes to know the truth. This is a no-brainer, and from our youth our parents drilled into us the absolute necessity to tell them the truth, because it is only by knowing the truth that they, our parents, can act sagaciously on our behalf. Truth is often the precursor to correct action, whereas lies, in its many permutations, are designed to deceive, mislead and eventually obfuscate right decision making.

Life is a gamble we say, and correctly so, and even if we were always given the truth, correct decision making would still be ferociously difficult. But when lies are added to the mix, we arrive at a juncture that resembles the world we inhabit today.

Today, you can't believe your elected representatives, nearly all politicians are chronic liars; you can't believe your financial advisers, or the banks, for you have seen how these charlatans mislead the public as per the 2008 financial crash, you can't believe the mainstream media, for they are lackeys of the rich and powerful and deception is their stock in trade, you can't believe your government, for it is only after 30/40/50 years that you might get to learn the truth (remember how President Kennedy lied about the Cuban missile crisis).

The truth is that you can't even believe your doctor, for he/she wants to keep you returning for treatment, or medication, or whatever and because they deceive you, (doctors exaggerate your ailments, and some are known for prescribing unnecessary medications or costly procedures to enhance their earnings) you should consider the need to seek a second opinion.

And I would not say much about lawyers, for if the truth kept them alive, they would be on life support with no hope of recovery.

Even simple, routine things, like boy meet girl and dating, are nothing more than a farrago of lies and distortions. How many relationships/marriages have collapsed because one of the partners acknowledged, "I didn't know that or else I wouln't..." Vile murders have been committed because spouses were deceived into marriage.

So why all the lies, all the deceit, all the misdirections and distortions? Why is truth the casuality of everyday discourse, and everything you see and hear may have a double meaning, and you better be extremely skeptical or even veer towards cynicism.

Have we now reached the point where truth is so disfigured and corrupted that it can no longer be separated from ruinous lies; and it is all down to presentation and interpretation? More pointedly, have we degenerated to a new norm, not seen before, and is humanity at its lowest ebb?

Some will answer yes, but I am not too convinced.

Remember that it was Soloman who said, "The thing that hath been, it is that which shall be; and that which is done is that which shall be done: and there is no new thing under the sun." (Eclessiastes 1:9)

The society that existed prior to the flood had reached a level of decadence that God could not tolerate. Defiance of God and the total decline of meaningful living invoked God's ultimate sanction; and the flood did the rest.

The flood occurred around 2300 BC and approximately 350 years later, around 1950 BC, Sodom and Gomorrah were burnt to oblivion when they too prompted God to act. God suspended his grace, and the retributive forces of providence did the rest.

The plain truth, is that the society that existed prior to the flood, the societies of Sodom and Gomorrah, and others (possibly Pompei, Troy and Herculaneum that were wiped out) were rotten to the core. They all had one thing in common with our present world; they worshipped Satan.

Societies that worship Satan may pursue different avenues, but ultimately they reach the same goal; defiance of Almighty God. While methods may vary, outcomes do not.

Here is what the Bible tells us, "Righteousness exalteth a nation: but sin is a reproach (discredit, or disgrace) to any people." (Proverbs 14:34)

The unadorned truth, is that anyone outside of Christ is worshipping Satan, anyone whose fallen nature that is controlled by the desire of the flesh, the desire of the eye and the pride of life, and has not been transformed, is Satan's loyal acolytes.

Satan's acolytes of today's vintage do one thing, above all, exceptionally well; they lie.

Jesus Christ was right when he nailed it, as to the degenerate Jews, "Ye are of your father the devil, and the lusts of your father ye will do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it." (John 8:44)

Satan is the father of lies, and his followers are unashamed, blatant peddlers of them.

It does not matter what field they are in, all Satan's acolytes peddle lies, and they reinforce and support each other in their perfidy.

Never forget that a thousand lies cannot drown a single truth, just like a lighted candle cannot be snuffed out by the whole universe of darkness.

But that does not stop the liars from trying.

It is a lie to live, or encourage others to live, a debauched life and expect that there will be no consequences. The homosexual and lesbian communities are proof of that perfidy. Their abominable lifestyles have brought moral decay to nations, brought toxic diseases that were little known to humanity like HIV/Aids, and Satan's acolytes in high places are pushing that perfidious agenda as if their lives depend on it. The Bible says, "The wicked shall be turned into hell, and all the nations that forget God." (Psalm 9:17)

It is a lie to teach that humans are worthless apes, emanating from some muddy swamp in prehistory and therefore are to be exploited, terminated as fancied, or used and abused by those who have the power. This perfidy has laid the foundation for ill-treatment of people from Hitler's unconscionable atrocities to the detestable gulags of the Soviet Union. The Bible says, "And as ye would that men should do to you, do ye also to them likewise." (Luke 6:31)

It is a lie to believe that the poor, the underprivileged, and the lowly in society are not worthy of living and the sooner they are gone the better. Because of this perfidy Governments everywhere are willing to sacrifice and punish the weak while pandering to every whim of the powerful and elites. It was this perfidy that drove the prophets of old, especially Amos and Micah, to such severe condemnation of ancient Israel. The Bible says, "He that hath a bountiful eye shall be blessed; for he giveth of his bread to the poor." (Proverbs 22:9)

It is a lie to peddle unbridled consumerism as the foundation for contentment and true happiness. This perfidy, that follows on from capitalism, leads to greed, egocentricity and strife. Unfortunately this unbridled consumerism has entered the church, in part, through the "prosperity gospel" advocates, and serious harm is resulting in people's spirituality; just what Satan's acolytes intended all along. The Bible says, "For what shall it profit a man, if he shall gain the whole world, and lose his own soul?" (Mark 8:36)

It is a lie to believe, teach, preach or live as if all religions are the same, and we are all going to end up in the same place. The most grotesque lie of all in this context is this; who is to know or judge but God? The Bible says, "There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death." (Proverbs 14:12)

This is really at the heart of Satan's acolytes agenda. If they blow enough smoke, create much confusion everywhere, befuddle the minds of the youth, play mind games with the weak and can tempt true believers to equivocate, then they feel that they are winning the war against God.

They are wrong. At the White Throne Judgment of Rev 20:11 they will find out.

True believers, born from above, who are children of God by adoption, through the influence of the Holy Spirit, will endure to the very end, not because they have obtained perfection in their human nature but because their faith is in the perfect God of heaven who is able. "He will not suffer thy foot to be moved: he that keepeth thee will not slumber." (Psalm 121:3)

Enough said.
