God Will Make A Way

by Greg Robbins
1/28/2017 / Bible Studies

God will make a way for you where there seems to be no way. He works in ways we cannot see. He will make a way for you. There is beauty and perfection in God. He desires to make a masterpiece out of your life. We often can only see our own life and circumstances. We get caught up in our own problems. They seem so big and many times so impossible. Yet in reality there is an incredibly huge universe out there and we are but a tiny part of it.

Have you ever flown in an airplane? Up in the sky the earth looks so very little and insignificant. From the pictures taken by astronauts the earth is even smaller. Imagine the perspective that God has of our earth! What are your problems and impossible difficulties for God? He just laughs at them! They are so insignificant to him that he can brush them all away as you would brush a speck of dirt from your shirtsleeve.

Isaiah 40:12 “Who has measured the waters in the hollow of his hand, and meted out heaven with the span, and comprehended the dust of the earth in a measure, and weighed the mountains in scales, and the hills in a balance?”

All of the oceans of the earth God has held and measured in the hollow of his hand. In a small balance he has weighed out the hills and the mountains. Spread your hand out wide and you will see the span of your hand to be from the tip of your little finger to the tip of your thumb. That is about eight inches, Not much right? God has measured the heavens in the span of his hand. The incredibly huge universe fits in the palm of God’s hand!

And you think that you have a problem that is too big for God to handle? We suffer from a mental distortion because we compare and size up God according to what we see around us. We make God to be incredibly small and powerless. We make him to be like a man. Beloved, we need to get a renewed view of who God really is. We need to take our eyes off of our problems and “impossible” circumstances and see the grandeur and the glory of Almighty God!

James 4:13-14 “Go to now, you that say, today or tomorrow we will go into such a city, and continue there a year, and buy and sell, and get gain: Whereas you know not what will happen tomorrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapor, that appears for a little time, and then vanishes away.”

We need to stop taking life so seriously. Problems are NOT big when compared to God. And the fact that our lives are extremely short and will soon disappear puts things in their proper perspective. I’ve been around for awhile. It seems like only yesterday that our country was celebrating the election of the first black president in history. And now we just watched Donald Trump become the 45th president of the United States. It seems such a short time ago that I was a boy growing up, and now I just celebrated my 55th birthday.

I like to go to graveyards to read the headstones to see the dates of birth and death of each person. Each grave represents a life lived. Some lived just a few years and some lived for 90 or 100 years. In all of these lives they celebrated birthdays, weddings, and other happy occasions. They all had a job or profession in life. Most had family and friends that they spent a lot of time with. All had happy days, joys, hardships, and sorrows. And what they all share in common is that they are all now dead and their bodies are planted together in the earth.

So we need to put our lives in their proper perspective. Nothing is as important as it seems. There are no impossibilities, there are only opportunities to trust God to make a way where there seems to be no way. What looks so difficult to you looks extremely easy to God. What looks so long to you is but a moment in the eternity that God dwells in. We need to recapture the view and the perspective of God. We are to renew our minds for the days are evil. When we think God’s thoughts everything changes for the better and becomes beautiful and easy.

Psalm 8:3-9 “When I consider your heavens, the work of your fingers, the moon and the stars, which you have ordained; What is man that you are mindful of him? And the son of man, that you visit him? For you have made him a little lower than the angels, and have crowned him with glory and honor. You made him to have dominion over the works of your hands; and you have put all things under his feet: All sheep and oxen, yea, and the beasts of the field; The fowl of the air, and the fish of the sea, and whatsoever passes through the paths of the seas. O Lord our Lord, how excellent is your name in all the earth!”

What are we that God is mindful of us? We are so insignificant in the greatness of the universe that it boggles the mind to consider how small and powerless we really are. The answer of course is that God has chosen to consider us, and to choose a family for himself to populate his heaven, and to dwell with him forever.

All of this is God’s plan and not our own. We arrived on earth all bloody and tiny and screaming, from our mother’s womb. We didn’t ask to be born and had no part in arriving here. We grew up and learned to see the world through the eyes of our culture and experiences. Truly we are as nothing. So wouldn’t it behoove us to place our focus and trust upon Almighty God? What is impossible to us is very easy to him. So why not stop trying to work things out for yourself and ask God to do it for you? Why not trust in him with all of your heart and lean not unto your own understanding? Let God be God and he will take care of you.

I have learned to not worry or care about things in any great way. I pray and ask God to place a hedge of protection around me and everything that pertains to me. I allow The Angel of the Lord to watch over me and to protect me and all that is mine. Since he has lifted the care from me, then why should we both worry about it? I go to sleep in peace every night without the least bit of worry that anything bad will happen while I’m asleep. Nothing gets stolen from me either. I extend this hedge of protection over family members and pets. It covers them as well.

This is a much better way to live than how I previously lived. I used to be filled with fear, cares , and worries. Now I have lost that burden and life has become much easier to live. “Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.”

Learn to focus on God and his great power. Trust in his promises and your life will become easy. Problems will no longer defeat you or seem impossible. You can life in peace and be calm knowing that God has it all under control. Blessings.
