The world's most dangerous word.
by Jimmy Hacker

The world's most dangerous word.

When ever we think of dangerous words, we think of words like "warning", "caution" and like words. We think of words in a situation that could keep us from getting hurt. We think of words in a situation that could keep us from getting ill. We think of words in a situation that could keep us from getting killed. We take extra precaution when we see dangerous words. We follow all rules concerning those situations when a dangerous word is used. These dangerous words are put on things in their proper places for our own good, because of the danger that could happen to us if they weren't there.

There is a word in the world that is the most dangerous word. What do you think that word could possible be? The world's most dangerous word is "procrastination". Procrastination means to defer action, defer or delay intentionally or habitually, delay, stall, take one's time, hesitate and pause. Why is procrastination the world's most dangerous word? After Jesus' death and ascension to Heaven, satan had a meeting with all of his demons. Satan asked; "How can we steal the souls of all mankind now?" The first demon stood up and said; "Let's tell them the Word of God isn't true." Satan said; "They have the prophets. That isn't going to work." A second demon stood up and said; "Let's tell them that Christ isn't the Son of God." Satan replied; "They have over 500 witnesses who saw Him. That won't work either." A third demon stood up and said; "Let's tell them that the Word of God is true and let's tell them that Christ is the Son of God. Let's also tell them that they have plenty of time to accept Christ as Lord and Savior, no need to hurry, no need to rush, but they have plenty of time." Satan responded; "That's it. That's it. Take this message to the ends of the earth and tell them you have plenty of time, don't hurry, don't worry, you have plenty of time." This is satan's message to the world and no one seems to be in a hurry to get saved.

People procrastinate seeing a doctor or a dentist. They wait until their illness is so bad that they don't feel like going and are forced to go because they can't take the pain or illness any more that they are suffering from. My mother was like this. Back in January 1993, she had a bump or a swelling under her right jaw bone. I told her she needed to go get it checked out. She said to me that it might go away and procrastinated to go see a doctor. In March, the swelling got much larger. I said to her she needs to go see a doctor now cause it isn't getting better but worse. I called my brother and he came over and we got mom to go see a doctor. When she saw him, he lined her up to see a surgeon. After her surgery, she lost her tongue and her larnyx caused by cancer.

There was this man in a southern state who had a bad tooth ache. He procrastinated to see a dentist. About 3 weeks later, he was unable to eat as the tooth abscessed and an infection had already set in. The man still procrastinated. A week later he was admitted to the hospital and the doctors gave him powerful antibiotics and other medicine in hopes of helping with the infection and inflammation. The infection was to far in advanced and the man died. Many people go to an early grave because they procrastinated.

There was this southern pastor who is well known in his town. He went to a barber shop one morning to get a hair cut. He walked into the barber shop as the barber greeted him. The barber was working on this biker's hair and the barber introduced him to the pastor. The biker looked at the pastor and said; "I don't need God. I have plenty of time to get saved." The pastor replied; "Maybe you do or maybe you don't." The biker said; "Look at me, I am the perfect picture of health." and he was. The pastor said; "Proverbs 27 verse 1 says boost not thyself of tomorrow for thou knowest not what a day may bring forth." The barber finished his hair and the biker got up and paid him and the biker walked out the door as the pastor and the barber watched him leave. The biker got on his Harley Davidson bike and squealed the back tire going down the street. He hit some lose gravel and hit a pole. The pole decapitated him and his body went in one direction and his head went in another. He didn't have as much time as he thought he did.

Procrastination is very dangerous and it can be fatal as well. Get away from all worldly distractions and focus your attention on Jesus and God. People who procrastinate to see a doctor or a dentist become sicker and weaker as time goes by. The longer they procrastinate, the longer it takes for them to get well, the longer it takes for them to get well, the more money it will cost on medicines to help them to get well. Satan is the very same way. He is our spiritual sickness and spiritual illness. The longer we wait to get saved, the more satan likes it. The longer we wait to get saved, the less interested we become in getting saved and the farther away from God we get which is satan's plan for every soul alive. Procrastination is also one of man's worse enemies that we do to ourselves and is used very effectively by satan.

If you have been procrastinating about getting saved, tell the devil to go to hell in Jesus Name and get up and do some thing about it now and get saved in Jesus Name. God can't wait to see you get saved because He knows very well what procrastination is in the hands of the devil. Jesus is standing in Heaven with His arms opened wide just waiting to hear from you so He can come to you and bring you His joy, peace, love and salvation. If you are not saved, go to God now and repent of all known sins, ask Jesus to come into your life now and be your Lord and Savior, follow Him, serve God from this moment on and God will bless you. God bless you.
