Powerful Victory

We live in a solar system in the Milky Way galaxy.  There are approximately 125 billion galaxies in the known universe.  In our galaxy there are about 100 billion planets and 300 million stars.  The reason why I mention this is to point out a few important things to keep in mind.  One is that although our tiny planet is less than a spec in God’s universe and you are less than a spec on this planet God knows everything about you and still loves you anyway! 

God spoke the universe into being, no “big bang” here.  With that kind of power it would only take a flick of God’s little pinky finger to cause galaxies to collide.  Imagine 100 billion planets and 300 million stars colliding with another galaxy of the same size by the flick of His little pinky.  That is the kind of power that your God commands!

So when you look at the problems and troubles that you face everyday it becomes easy to forget just how powerful your Father God is.  God provides your victory for anything that you face and makes it available to you daily.

1 Corinthians 15:57 “But thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.”  Deuteronomy 20:4 “For the Lord your God is the one who goes with you to fight for you against your enemies to give you victory.”  Proverbs 21:31 “The horse is made ready for the day of battle, but victory rests with the Lord.”  1 John 5:4-5 3”for everyone born of God overcomes the world. This is the victory that has overcome the world, even our faith. 5 Who is it that overcomes the world?  Only the one who believes that Jesus is the Son of God.”  Exodus 14:14 “The Lord will fight for you, and all you have to do is keep still.”

I can only speak for myself when I say that without God’s victory I wouldn’t stand a chance.  There is no peace, no assurance, no joy, no comfort, no liberty, no freedom and no security without God’s victory!  The Bible says 365 times “do not be afraid”, that’s once a day for a year.  It also states that God is our refuge, our secure haven, our secret hiding place our heavenly oasis.  How can it make such statements without God’s victory? 

God doesn’t just give you the victory to pull you out of the pit of sin and destruction.  He also has ALL power and authority to give you the victory to keep you from starting down ANY slippery slope of temptation leading to the pit.  Is there ANYTHING too big or too difficult for God to do?  Then why not put your faith and trust in Him?  “Greater is He that is within you than he that is in the world.”
