Power 4-26-17

Everybody wants some kind of power of some sort. The young wants it. The middle aged wants it. The elderly wants it. People thrive on power. Money generates power. Beauti attracts power. The educated challenges power. High authority rules with power. The strongest walks in power. Power indeed is one of man's most sought after sources. If a man has power, he has authority. If a man has authority, he can rule the world. If a man can rule the world, he will set himself up to be served as an idol for people to worship and he will be like a god of great wealth. He will be rich and will have his own military and be in control of everybody under him. He will set himself up to be a king and make his people bow down to and obey every word he says. In the end, his people will be destroyed by one thing to another from wars, diseases and hunger. In the end his kingdom will come crashing down even though he thought that it would last forever.

Professional people gained their power and authority by education. Yes they worked hard for it. Some take advantage of their authority and power and abuse others with it. They had yet to learn that power and authority is some thing that you don't abuse. Some learned this the hard way and are serving time in prison, mental institutions or are in the cemeteries before their time. People still look up to them and are making the same mistakes. Why? Because they to are hungry for power and authority and have not learned not to abuse it. People will lie, cheat and steal for power. There aren't many out there who gained power and authority through honesty. Dishonest is one of man's biggest weapons for gaining power.

There are a lot of regular Joe's out there who has no power nor authority, but themselves. They are under authority, but don't have it to give. In a small town there was this man who drove his car around. He always took the same route every morning. On one occasion, he was driving his car and came upon a stop sign. There was this policeman on the side of the street watching him. The old man came to the stop sign, slowed down and turned. The policeman pulled him over and said; "You just ran that stop sign." The old man replied; "I slowed down." The policeman responded; "You have to stop." The policeman let him go.

The next day, the same old man was driving up to that same stop sign and the same policeman watched him. The old man slowed down and turned. The policeman pulled him over and say; "You ran that stop sign again." The old man replied; "I slowed down." The said; "That sign says stop and you have to stop." The policeman let him go again. The third morning, the same old man was approaching that same stop sign as the same policeman watched. The old man comes up to the stop sign, slows down and turns. The policeman is frustrated, because the old man has done this 3 times in a row. The policeman pulls him over and says; "You have run that stop sign 3 times in a row." The old man responded; "I slowed down." The policeman is even now more frustrated and opens the old man's car door, grabs him by the head, and grabs his knight stick and starts whacking the old man on the head and says; "Do you want me to stop? Or slow down?" The old man found out that he can't have authority over the laws of the land any more.

There was this man driving down the interstate speeding in his sports car. There was a policeman who caught him on his radar and went after him. The man sees the policeman in the rear view mirror and pulls over to the side of the interstate and hits a steep bank and flips his car over. The policeman walks up to him and sees a bottle of wine in his hand and says; "Are you alright down there?" The man replied; "Yeah, I'm ok. This angel in my passenger seat told me to stay with him and every thing will be alright." The policeman says; "Angel, you had better let him come with me, you're going to kill him."

There was this man who worked at this fair who had a horse. He had a sign that read; "If anybody can make my horse nod his head, he will win $500." There was this country man who walked up to the man and said; "If I can make your horse nod his head, you will pay me 500 dollars." The fair man said; "Yes, that's right." The country man replied; "I want to give him a try." So he walked over to the horse and tried and tried and tried to make him to nod his head, but failed every time. The country man picks up a club and whacks the horse on the head as the horse shakes his head and settles to the ground nearly knocked out. The country man walked out of the fair.

One year later, the fair came to that town and the same fair man had the same $500 offer sign with his horse. The same country man walked up to the fair man and said; "Can I give him a try?" The fair man replied; "Don't hit my horse." The country man said; "I won't, just watch." He walked up to the horse and said; "Horse, do you remember me?" The horse nodded his head and the country man looked at the fair man holding out his hand and said; "Pay up." People will do just about any thing to gain some kind of power.

This is a true story. There was this family of a man, his wife and their teenage daughter. The wife was hungry for power. She used tarot cards for months witch is an evil tool of satan to gain power even though she did not know that these cards were of satan. The wife and daughter went to church and tried to get the husband to go but he didn't. The husband worked a full time job and was an alcoholic. We will call the name of the daughter Mandy to protect her identity. She had friends at school and was well known at school. One day she and her mom got into it and Mandy grabbed one of her mom's tarot cards and tore it up. This upset satan and he through her mom cast a curse on Mandy. Later on in that school year, Mandy came in her home and saw her mom playing with the tarot cards crying and sobbing. Mandy asked her; "Why are you crying?" Her mom answered; "Somebody in our family is going to die." Mandy wondered if it were one of her grand parents or some one else in their family and asked; "Who? Who is going to die?" Her mom answered; "I don't know." but she knew exactly who it was. A few weeks later, Mandy was driving home one night from town and had the right away at an intersection and was hit in the driver's door by a speeding truck that ran a stop sign. Mandy died a few days later in the hospital. Her mom could have stood up to satan and rebuked him, but she didn't and lied and caused the curse to carry through and it cost her daughter her life. Power, many people gets it through satan himself. Mandy's mom wanted power, but went the wrong way to get it.

A man who can rule himself is greater than a man who can rule a city. If a man can't rule himself, how in the world do you expect him to rule a city? It just isn't possible. If we want to make a change in other people, we have to make a change in our selves first. Let our good word, works and actions speak for them selves to give our selves an opportunity to be an example for other people to follow. Let Jesus flow through you, let His love be in you at all times and love others to Him. Pray for them and He will do the rest. For no man can change no one but himself. People must have the willing heart to change for the better. This is where a Power greater than satan comes in, the Power of Jesus the Son of the Living God. There has never been any power on earth that has survived from the beginning of time to now than the Power of Jesus. The Bible is a Book of Power. The Bible has out lasted and out blasted every book ever written and it will last forever. The Bible is the only Book that will read you when you read it. It is the only Book on planet earth that has the Power to change lives for the better. When you live by the Word of God, you are standing on the most Powerful thing on earth. You indeed have Power. Power that will save your souls and cause you to live forever in Heaven instead of burning in the fires of hell forever.

Jesus had all power. He taught with all power. He healed with all power. He had power over nature, demons, all illnesses and death. In John 11 verse 43, Jesus cried out; "Lazarus, come forth." Why did Jesus call Lazarus by name? If He didn't, every dead man and woman on planet earth would have got up out of their graves. Jesus is the resurrection and the life. Jesus has the power to deliver you from every illness, drug addictions, alcoholism and every demon. There is power in His Name. Just calling on the Name of Jesus makes the devil and all demons tremble. If you have Jesus living in you, you are living and walking in real power that the world cannot touch. But if not, then your power isn't good enough nor strong enough to battle some of the toughest battles of life. Nor do you have power to go to Heaven. You have to have Jesus in you in order to have the power that it takes to go to Heaven. Only by having Jesus living in you, following Him every day and serving God every day, you have the power to live and to live forever.

God is the most powerful being in the whole universe. God gave His power to Jesus. Jesus gives His power to us. The Kingdom of God is the most powerful place in the whole universe, of His Kingdom there shall be no end. All who are in Heaven had Jesus and went to Heaven in power. They conquered the flesh, the world and the devil. They had power over the death, the grave and hell. They had the power to live and they will live forever. John 1 verse 12 says; "But as many as received Him, (Jesus), to them gave He power to become the sons of God." Do you have this power living in you? If not, time is running out and death waits for no man. Just ask Jesus and He will give you His Power and this is all the Power you will ever need and all of the powers of hell, the demons and satan cannot defeat you.

If you are not right with God, I want to give you a chance to get saved. Go to God now, confess all known sins and repent of them, ask Jesus to come into your heart and be your Lord and Savior, follow Him and serve God from this moment on and God will bless you. God bless you.
