Steps For Building A Strong, Healthy And Exciting Marriage

In our society today, marriages rise and fall, marriages that started very well and were blossoming at a time. In other words, some are enjoying their marriages to the fullness while some marriages had collapsed.

Yourself, have you ever given a thought about the causes of the failure of these marriages? Moreover, have you ever given a thought that if you are not careful that your own marriage could fail? You should reflect on the possibility that you could wake up one day and find out that your own marriage had failed.

What I said above, is the gospel truth as our society today are full of marriages that are in crises, marriages that had failed. Many of these marriages ended in divorce and some are about to go for divorce.

You should think and reflect about these marriages, couples who are involved were some time ago like Romeo and Juliet, they had a deep love for each other just as you are currently in deep love with your spouse.

You should take a step to ensure that you don’t allow any crack in your marriage and as well as build a strong, healthy and exciting marriage to avoid what crashed some marriages from crashing your own marriage.

Even the Bible warned us in 1st Corinthians 10:12 “Therefore let him who thinks he stands to take heed lest he falls”. So if you are not careful, what crashed some marriage could as well crash your own marriage.

The reason why I said so is that our marriage is like egg or glass – very delicate and fragile, for such reasons, we are to handle them with care or else it would crack.

In most cases, what crashed many marriages started with a crack and as you know, it is never easy to patch a cracked glass or an egg. So the best way is to prevent a crack.

One of the main reasons why some marriages today are engulfed in crises and breakdown is because couples that are involved in such marriages are ignorantly doing in their marriage what they ought not to do while failing to do what they ought to be doing in their marriages.

You should, therefore, realize that your everyday actions are the seeds you are sowing in your marriage. It is these seeds you sowed that you eventually reap. That is why some are enjoying their marriages to the fullness while others are battling with marital crises.

Moreover, our marriages are like a garden, people who take a time to attend and water their garden, if you see such gardens, they are always evergreen while some other gardens are overgrown with weeds because owners failed to attend to them. What is obtained in your marriage is a result of the input you made in that marriage.

So to ensure that your marriage is on the right course, you should be diligent to ensure that what is obtained in your marriage are the principles that make for strong and successful marriage. In other words, you should diligently work on your marriage if you want to see your marriage to work.

You should, therefore, take steps to ensure that your marriage is built on strong marriage foundations so that you enjoy your marriage to the fullness.  The steps for building these marriage foundations are as follows:

First and foremost, you must take a step to ensure that your marriage is built on strong love. Love is the oil that lubricates every marriage, so you should ensure that your marriage is built on strong love.

Like a garden, you should take a time to cultivate and water this love to ensure that it is growing and never for any reason allow this love to diminish or die.

Secondly, you must take a step to build a strong trust for each other. One of the traits that make for a strong and exciting marriage is trust for each other. So you should ensure that both of you have strong trust for each other and never do things that may betray that trust.

You should realize that what brings cracks in some marriages is the betrayal of such trust. When a couple doesn’t trust each other any longer, that is the signal or the beginning of the collapse of such marriage.

Thirdly, if you wish to enjoy your marriage to the fullness, that is building a strong, healthy and exciting marriage, then couples must take a time to cultivate intimacy:

Some couples have no time for each other as to build intimacy. So if you wish to have a strong and exciting marriage then you should ensure that you create quality time to be with each other as to create intimacy.

Couples who have strong intimacy with one another never allow any crack in their marriage. You will agree with me, you always tend to fall in love more and more with that person you always spend much time with. So it is necessary that you spend this quality time with your spouse.

Finally, you should ensure that you have a harmonious sexual adjustment. You should realize that one issue that crashed marriages and still crashing marriages is sexual maladjustment. Couples with sexual maladjustment never enjoy their sex life to the fullness as many of them seek a solution outside their matrimonial home – infidelity.

It is obvious, couples who have well adjusted to each other sexually; they tend to satisfy each other sexually. As such, they enjoy their sex life to the fullness. By enjoying their sex life to the fullness, they don’t allow any crack in their marriage.

You will agree with me that couples who have taken a time to lay good foundations for their marriage, it is much easier to work on their marriage as compared to couples who don’t have good foundations. If you fail to work on your marriage, you have yourself to blame if your marriage should fail.
