PRAYER FOR THOSE WHO WAIT

Please God, while you protect
those who serve in the military,
bless those who love
and keep vigil for them at home.
It is not easy to wait and wonder,
watch and worry
for that loved one who is
missing from their lives.
They need your comfort and strength.
Be with them and keep them safe.
Allow gentle angels to caress them
and give them peace in their hearts.
As they turn their eyes to You
with hope and confidence,
let the calming rays of Your presence
penetrate their lives.
Please bless them, for they also serve,
and be with them as they keep
the home fires burning bright.
