GOD-TRACKING IS GETTING ON AND REMAINING ON TRACK WITH GOD’S PLANS
Ephesians 1:17
that the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give you a spirit of wisdom and of revelation in the knowledge of him
Twenty-years ago I received a revelation on the concept of knowing God’s purposes for my life. In previous GodTrackers I’ve shared how God seemingly had opened an important door for me, only for him to firmly shut it again. When I asked why, he simply said, “You’re on track with my plans.” You see, the Bible says, “’I know the plans I have for you,’ says the LORD.” That day I discovered that it is God who knows the plans he has for me, but I don’t; not until he reveals them to me, that is. He calls me only to daily seek and track his plans. Hence the concept of God-tracking. And his plans are always for a hopeful future. Since that day I have never been abandoned by the Lord I seek, even through the most gruelling of circumstances.
You may read this, wishing that you could discover God’s plans for your life, too. Discovering God’s plans requires two things: 1) Acknowledge the Lord and 2) Acknowledge the Lord.
Firstly, have you acknowledged Christ as Lord of your life? Have you come to a point where you realise that God is good and you’re not? Yes, you are not good enough for God! Neither am I! All mankind has sinned and missed God’s goodness; none of us is good enough for God. Only God can be good enough for God. That’s why God sent his only Son, Jesus Christ into the world. The good God became like one of us, through Jesus. Jesus was born of a virgin; therefore, he is sinless. The result of sin is death and Jesus died. But because he was sinless, he did not remain dead but rose again. While we were yet sinners, God showed his love in that Christ died for us. God made Christ who had no sin, to become sin for us so that by faith in him we could be made good by the grace of God. We all went astray from God’s goodness, but God laid on Jesus the inequity of us all. Through confession and repentance of sin and acknowledging Christ as Lord, you can be saved to discover God’s good plans for your life.
Secondly, don’t leave it there. Continue to seek and acknowledge God in every part of your life, daily. Acknowledge God in your work life, your family life and your private life. Acknowledge God in your finances, your ambitions and your desires. Acknowledge God in your successes and your failures. If you acknowledge in every part of your life, then he will make straight your paths and keep you on track with his plans.

DON’T GIVE UP, LOOK UP & PRAY
Help me to daily seek your will and remain on track with your plans and purposes
“Dear God, I deeply desire to know your plans for my life. I admit that I have been far from you. I confess and repent of my sins and shortfalls. I believe that Jesus, the sinless One, died in my place and rose again to save me from the results of sin, which is death. I not only believe this truth but I now confess the reality of is for myself. I give my life to Christ and accept him as my Lord and Saviour. Dear God, I now acknowledge you in every aspect of my life. I acknowledge your presence. I acknowledge your righteousness. I acknowledge your glory. And I acknowledge your hand upon every part of my life. Help me to daily seek your will and remain on track with your plans and purposes. Amen.”
