A BAND OF ANGELS

God called a Band of Angels together in Heaven above!

He was about to send them on a Special Mission of Love!

He hand picked them and chose those who were perfect for His plan!

He measured their Wings that had a 20 foot span!

Each one was created to be an Escort of Gentleness and Love!

Harmless yet Awesome were these "ANGELS OF LOVE"!

There was a Special Lady down on earth!

Who believed in The Cross and The Virgin birth.

She was slowly dying and the end was getting near!

God prepared this Band of Angels to go down and stand around her near!

AWESOME ANGELS OF LOVE WITH BEAUTY UNTOLD!

AWESOME ANGELS OF LOVE ADORNED IN BRIGHT WHITE LINEN AND GOLD!

They faced each other in a perfect circle around God's Throne!

They all bowed before The Lord and then (poof) they were instantly gone!

They flew in a perfect formation like THE BLUE ANGELS of the Navy we all love!

They were "much more" Majestic and Awesome as they left Heaven above!

They flew faster than Light Speed crossing the Universe in merely seconds of time!

They stood around the bed of that old saint and they were Glorious and Devine!

As her last breath left her tired body her spirit was set free!

And this BAND OF ANGELS shouted with glee!

They escorted her up to Heaven and set her feet down on a STREET OF GOLD!

AND THE REST OF THE STORY IS YET TO BE TOLD!

This poem in loving memory of Sherry Lynn Wade who was escorted to God by a band of angels on 1/23/2018.

Sherry was born in Houston, Texas on December 26, 1943.

She was married to Floyd Alton "Dude" Wade. She went to be with God on 1/23/2018.

Well, I looked over Jordan and what did I see
Coming for to carry me home
A band of angels coming after me
Coming for to carry me home.

Swing low sweet chariot
Coming for to carry me home
Swing low sweet chariot
Coming for to carry me home.

Well, if you get there before I do
Coming for to carry me home
Tell all of my friends that I'm coming too
Coming for to carry me home.

Swing low sweet chariot
Coming for to carry me home
Swing low sweet chariot
Coming for to carry me home.

Hey, swing low sweet chariot
Coming for to carry me home
Swing low sweet chariot
Coming for to carry me home...
