Realization Remembered

                        The proof of your existence was presented years before.

                        Arrogance of youth having hindered my conscious view.

                      A curious evening wave washed my drunken soul to shore.

                     My self-absorption then preventing me from thanking You.

 

                       Yet unawakened by my flirtation with death’s dire door.

                   Leaving behind bitter foes who once were loved ones to hold.

                  Years passed to a score and one, and still I knew nothing more.

                     Visions of grandeur having made me both brazen and bold.

 

                     Then humbled by aging with unfulfilled dreams of success.

                    All while my perception of time had now quickened its pace.

                       Honestly admitting I had not known more but much less.

                      What once was excitingly new had become commonplace.

 

                        At last was Your light so bright as to not be mistaken.

                       The power of the moment left me awestruck and anew.

                          To have been spiritually asleep and finally awaken.

                       This door of light exists for all earth’s people to pass thru.

                  

I am Steven Woods. I believe that Jesus revealed to me that I am His Advocate. He has been speaking to me all my life, but I didn't realize it was Him until He lead me to John 16:7 - 16:15 during an ice storm in January 2017. I want to lead a Christian Revolution. I have much more already written.
