Not Too Late

t is easy to make excuses.

Fathers and mothers of young children are over worked; warn to a frazzle and trying to make ends meet.

Many parents work Monday-Saturday; some hold down two jobs.

Sunday, (once a day of worship and rest) has become a day of housework, yard work and recreation.

Mom and Dad no longer attend Sunday morning Bible studies or worship services at a nearby church. They do not see the importance of taking (or even sending) their children to church.

Is America one generation away from forsaking God?

“Listen, Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is One.  Love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your strength. These words that I am giving you today are to be in your heart. Repeat them to your children. Talk about them when you sit in your house and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up. Bind them as a sign on your hand and let them be a symbol on your forehead. Write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates (Deuteronomy 6:4-9 HCSB).”

I pray that it’s not too late.

“But if it doesn’t please you to worship Yahweh, choose for yourselves today the one you will worship: the gods your fathers worshiped beyond the Euphrates River or the gods of the Amorites in whose land you are living. As for me and my family, we will worship Yahweh (Joshua 24:15 HCSB).”
