Distractions

Aren’t they time thieves,

Which give sincere assignments?

And when you’re done and dusted,

The real work had been abandoned

Harmless had become harmful

And realities discovered so late:

How that there’s time for everything;

And it waits for no man

 

Aren’t they destiny robbers?

Yea, tricksters-of-worth;

Who entice with many prospects

But in the end deplete a man

Bit by bit, little by little; till all is gone

And all the victim is left with?

Just a little space,

For Samsonic revenge

 

Aren’t they purpose fighters;

Which come in sheep’s clothing

To mislead the unsuspecting?

Indeed, to derail the inexperienced!

Some may get lost forever!

Drowning in the ocean of distractions!

O pilgrim beware of these foxes

Little, big, little, big foxes

They lead to a falling away…

 

That’s why He says to watch –

Unwavering focus with resolution

For they lay everywhere disguised;

Waiting like thorns to puncture…

Get discernment and wisdom! He orders

Even more than the serpent

That’s how to snuff out regret;

And avoid had-i-known
