THE CRUCIFIED

by Lewis E. Thomas
7/04/2018 / Poetry

THE CRUCIFIED

The one perfect man to ever walk on earth!
Born in the miraculous way of a virgin birth!

The only Son of God who laid His Royalty aside and came down!
To die for us on a cruel cross so that all who believe could be made spiritually sound!

The One who walked upon the sea in the mist of The Storm!
The Savior who ranked much, much higher than the norm!

The one who created the Earth and every thing there is!
The one who spoke the Universe into existence because the Power was His!

The One who reached out to the world with love to his last and final breath!
The Lamb of God by whom the whole creation is blessed!

The one who fed five thousand with just a few loaves and fishes!
The One who always fulfilled His Heavenly Father's wishes!

The One who paid for my sins and the One who paid for yours!
The One who gave us the spiritual eyes to spot and detect old Satan's lures!

The One who prayed, "Father, let this cup pass from me!"
"Nevertheless, let thy will be done in and through me!"

The One who healed everyone who ever sought His touch!
Because He loved them all so, so very much!

The Crucified was nailed to His Cross by spikes through His hands and His feet!
As He was lifted up on His Cross He showed the world a love so powerful and sweet!

What does Jesus Christ mean to you today?
Do you follow Him on that Straight and Narrow way?

Does His great sacrifice mean little or nothing to you?
If not, when you face God at The Great White Throne Judgment what will you do?

"This rhyme is a wake up call to everyone on earth in every nation!"
"How shall we escape if we neglect so great salvation?"

Hebrews 2:3
how shall we escape, if we neglect so great salvation;

Revelation 20:11-15

And I saw a great white throne, and him that sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away; and there was found no place for them. And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things which were written in the books, according to their works. And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works. And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.

John 3:16

John 3:18
He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.
