Inseparable

This is not a psychology article; though, it could be an assessment of my cognitive skills pertaining to things that I deem inseparable.

Our first child, April, had my undivided attention while my husband was away working as a radio announcer in Evanston, a Chicago suburb. She was a mama’s girl and I frequently toted her on my hip while simultaneously doing housework.

If I chose not to carry her on my hip, she sought alternatives. I recall times of standing before the kitchen sink doing dishes as April lay across my feet. Separation anxiety was a reality; times with baby sitters were traumatic.

We were inseparable.

“Be strong and of a good courage, fear not, nor be afraid of them: for the Lord thy God, he it is that doth go with thee; he will not fail thee, nor forsake thee (Deuteronomy 31:6 KJV).”

God sent his Son, Jesus. Emmanuel, God with us. Jesus promised to be with me always. Before ascending to his Father, Jesus promised to send the Holy Spirit. He abides in the deepest recesses of my heart. He is teacher, comforter and helper.

We are inseparable.

“And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand. My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father’s hand (John 10:28-29 KJV).”
