Flames Of Love

by Steve Countryman
10/22/2018 / Christian Living

The flames of love is the manifested unquenchable fire of the Holy Spirit. Acts 2:2-4 2”Suddenly a sound like the blowing of a violent wind came from heaven and filled the whole house where they were sitting. 3 They saw what seemed to be tongues of fire that separated and came to rest on each of them. 4 All of them were filled with the Holy Spirit and began to speak in other tongues as the Spirit enabled them.”

Luke 3:16-17 16John answered them all, “I baptize you with water. But one who is more powerful than I will come, the straps of whose sandals I am not worthy to untie. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and fire. 17His winnowing fork is in his hand to clear his threshing floor and to gather the wheat into his barn, but he will burn up the chaff with unquenchable fire.”

God is Jehovah jireh, He who provides. Too often we miss out on His blessings and provisions through wrong expectations, our own demands, stubbornness and lack of trust. I know that I have struggled with “having to know how, when and where” those blessings will come. Foolish of me to think that way when all that does is cause me to tell God how to answer my prayers. Peace is found when you put your trust in Him! I have to remind myself that God doesn’t need my advice for He is sooo much better at taking care of me than I am at taking care of me!

“All good and perfect things come from God.” Why would I want to get in His way? The Master is perfect at ALL He does and blows me away every time He does it! God’s provisions and blessings come to us in different ways. Flames of love is what I saw of answered prayers. Each flame represents a different part of God’s love as it is apportioned to us by the Holy Spirit.

When you worry and fret you lack God’s peace. The Holy Spirit sends a flame of peace to settle your spirit and comfort you. If you need to be set free from an addiction the Holy Spirit sends a flame of deliverance your way. Sickness and disease are forms of unrighteousness and are attacks of the Devil. The Holy Spirit sends a flame of healing and cleanses you with the blood of Jesus of ALL unrighteousness.

1 John 1:9 If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” Declare Gods Word out loud as you pray and watch God’s mighty hand at work in your life!

Each flame of the Holy Spirit is custom made for your situation. For you are His child who God greatly cares for. Psalm 91:11-12 11”For he will command his angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways; 12 they will lift you up in their hands, so that you will not strike your foot against a stone.”
