Solitude

by Stacey Thaeler
9/22/2007 / Poetry

When I go to seek my one true Lord,
I never have to visit a shrine.
He tells me in His living Word,
That I'm all His and He's all mine.

No need to travel far away,
He's always there right by my side.
When on my pillow my head I lay,
No need for all the tears I've cried.

I believe His promises are mine;
His Holy Truth leads me to rejoice.
Yes! I've been grafted into his vine.
Keep listening for His still small voice.

His Holy Spirit moves like the wind;
Follow His lead and He'll set you free.
All of your fetters He will unbind;
Every sin and foolish fear must flee.
