Watch and Wait

It’s true; I could have been the focus of a dumb blonde joke. As a teenager, I was blonde and in the kitchen I was pretty much clueless (not much improvement today). Yet, I could boil water. I remember babysitting and boiling water to sterilize glass baby bottles.

I doubt they even make them out of glass today. Yesterday, today and forever; God reigns!

“Oh that thou wouldest rend the heavens, that thou wouldest come down, that the mountains might flow down at thy presence,

As when the melting fire burneth, the fire causeth the waters to boil, to make thy name known to thine adversaries, that the nations may tremble at thy presence!

When thou didst terrible things which we looked not for, thou camest down, the mountains flowed down at thy presence.

For since the beginning of the world men have not heard, nor perceived by the ear, neither hath the eye seen, O God, beside thee, what he hath prepared for him that waiteth for him (Isaiah 64:1-4 KJV).” 

I wait impatiently as I watch a pot on the stove. Will it ever boil?

Christ followers are waiting for His return.

Don’t lose patience; He has gone to prepare a place for you.

“Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me.

In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.

And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also (John 14:1-3 KJV).”
