THE DIVINE SAFEST COUNTRY

‘‘But now they desire a better country, that is, an heavenly: wherefore God is not ashamed to be called their God: for he hath prepared for them a city.’’ Hebrew 11:16 (KJV)

The greatest architect of all ages is God Almighty. He is a master planner and a builder whose works are quite splendid. This can be attested to in His beautiful works of creation all over the world. On a daily basis, He is still building

From where we took our text from in the book of Hebrews 11:16 (KJV), a clear overview of our scriptures means that those who desire this better country are believers in Christ who are the modern Israelites of today. Our anchor passage wants us to focus our gaze or desire towards making Heaven which is a better option, place or country in the Heavenly compared to where we are now. Heaven is a beautiful place and a better country for believers’ afterlife here on earth passes. Jesus Christ said in John 14:2 ‘‘In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you.’’ Mansions are expensive buildings to acquire and this is what Jesus has gone ahead to prepare for us. How beautiful will these mansions be? God is calling on us to invest in eternity and should not be comfortable with this earthly place. God has the ability to take us to this better country through the salvation shuttle safely.

Do you desire this better country, but do not know how to be qualified for it?  Why not check this out in John 3:3, John 3:36. Jesus provides a rest

Lord Jesus Christ, see me through all my life’s journey and help me to make it to Heaven when life on earth will be over. Grace to escape Hell and embrace Heaven I ask thee through the help of the Holy Spirit.

Eternity in Heaven is a sure rest for believers in Christ who did not gamble with their faith
