DIVINE CHARGE TO HUMANITY

‘‘For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out.’’ I Timothy 6:7 (KJV).

The world is a battlefield for so great a people. It is characterized by struggling, tension and indices of trying to make ends meet. It is a stage full of arrivals and departures and no one can tell when his or her flight has been scheduled to take off. Once you have boarded, the final destination is in eternity which is the long home of the soul. Only two routes we are being faced with, either in Heaven or in Hell.

Our Bible passage where we took our text from in I Timothy 6:7 (KJV) is a constant reminder that since we came to this world with nothing, we will return back to our maker empty-handed. We will leave all that we have laboured for behind, our family members, investments, our cars, all the magnificent buildings, and connections will all be gone by and only that which is done for Christ shall stand.

God Almighty is a compassionate father who cares about the welfare of our souls since we are all created in His image after His likeness. He does not want us to conform to this world, but He wants us to set our affections on how to make Heaven. Let see Colossians 3:2. There are destinies and there are destinies, and the highest destiny is making Heaven. God wants us to comport ourselves in this world and be mindful of eternity in Heaven. No matter the volume of our wealth, they will all remain behind. Do we work all day hustling for money and find it difficult to create time for God by attending church activities regularly? Jesus is aware of all you are passing through and do not worry. There is always a way out. Why not invite Jesus to that situation and He will see you through and guide you on how to invest in eternity and not to be entangled with the affairs of this world. Everything in this world will all pass and fade away. The world is full of activities and unnecessary hustling that may want to take us away from not following Christ always.

Dear Lord Jesus Christ, help me not to be carried away with the system of this world but help me to live for you so that I can escape Hell and embrace Heaven when life on earth will be over. Amen.

        Naked we came and that is how we will return to the other side of the divide.
