 Scriptural Reading: Matthew 10:19-22

‘‘And ye shall be hated of all men for my name's sake: but he that endureth to the end shall be saved.’’ Matthew 10:22 (KJV).

All humans are competitors striving for various medals. Some for bronze, some for silver, while others for gold. The strength of gold is stronger than the others. The journey towards higher height comes with a series of challenge and only the brave can make it to the city of gold.

In making Heaven, an individual will be ready to suffer persecution from families, friends, and enemies, and Jesus Christ has given this pointer ahead of time so that humankind will be able to understand this. Our Bible reference where we took our text from in Matthew 10:19-22 (KJV) is an eye-opener. The enemy would want an individual to deny Christ, wants you to speak lies in order to come out of a situation, using brothers to kill each other, Parents having issues with their children. The essence of this is to frustrate an individual from not following Christ and to leave the race track. Sometimes at the workplace, your benefits may be denied because you are a follower of Christ. Just be focused as the persecutions are for a moment, they will definitely come to an end.

God is a mighty God that knows everything and He wants us to be courageous at all times and He will make a way of escape for as many that stand for Him to endure persecution. He has recruited us into His workforce and He is by our side regularly to help us. If we value our lives here on earth and do not want to suffer persecution because of Him we will lose it at His return but if we hate our lives and lay it down for Him because of persecution we will gain it back when He shall appear in glory. Jesus does not want us to be afraid of anything but wants us to always look up unto Him. This way we will be able to endure till the end and have a better testimony. Every day, God is with us to steer our ship of state.

Dear Lord Jesus Christ, grant me the grace to be able to endure trials and temptation in this life and release upon me your divine grace to endure till the end. Amen.

Endurance is a virtue that sees gold ahead of time in the journeys of life.
