Was it Puppy Love?

‘Puppy Love’ was a very popular record. Do you remember who made it a hit?

Your answer might be a clue to your age.

If you said Donny Osmond, you’re absolutely right. He took it to #3 in 1972 on US music charts. On the other hand, if you said Paul Anka (you’re in my age demographic) are correct and have a great memory!

Anka penned the song in 1960 for sweetheart Annette Funicello. His version went to #2 on US Hot 100 Billboard charts. Puppy love is an apt description of first love. Most of us remember our first crush, first kiss and the first time our hearts were broken. How well do I remember my first love and the commitment I’ve made to Christ Jesus? He knows.

“I know your deeds and your toil and perseverance, and that you cannot tolerate evil men, and you put to the test those who call themselves apostles, and they are not, and you found them to be false; and you have perseverance and have endured for My name’s sake, and have not grown weary.
