DIVINE INHERITANCE

Scriptural Reading: Acts 26:16-18

‘‘To an inheritance incorruptible, and undefiled, and that fadeth not away, reserved in heaven for you,’’ I Peter 1:4 (KJV)

Each time we remembered one particular fellow whose inheritance was taken away, the pains come like birth pangs, but his family chose the path of peace and allowed the sleeping dog to lie and they took solace in the salvation of their souls which is worth more than a billion US dollar. Thank God for this fellow whom God later blessed and he was able to reserve an inheritance for his children and he became a preacher of peace above all other consideration and I call him a man of peace.

Our lives are projects in the hands of God who has commissioned us to be His ministers and at sundry times has been delivering us from the hands of wicked and unreasonable people in order for us to always turn many from the power of Satan (the prince of this world) unto God. This way people can be saved and be able to have access to divine inheritance Christ has prepared for us all. It is not the wish of God for anybody to grope in the dark and He has decided to deliver humankind from all forms of evil by giving us a heritage. To reign with Christ is a privilege and a thing of joy.

God Almighty is a compassionate God who loves every one of us and He has decided to reserve an inheritance in the heavenly for all believers in Christ. He wants us to come closer to Him so that we can reach out to those who are always far away so that they can become partakers of this godly inheritance that does not perish nor fade away, if and only if Christ can be held on to till the very end. Having Christ is worth more than earthly riches and He is the beauty of all saints.

Do we know that if we labour for Christ that is the only way we can gain access to this divine inheritance? The answer is YES. When we work for Christ and have a close walk with Him, He will not let us down and our divine inheritance will be guaranteed through the power of the Holy Spirit. Here is an anchor scripture we can hold on to and apply on a daily basis in receiving our divine inheritance. Colossians 3:24 (KJV) ^‘Knowing that of the Lord ye shall receive the reward of the inheritance: for ye serve the Lord Christ.’ Serving Christ saves our souls.

Dear Lord Jesus Christ let not the divine inheritance you have reserved for me and my family be taken away by negligence, help us to stay pure in all things and give us your divine grace to reach out to the unsaved. Amen.

 An inheritance gives victory over sufferings and it places a fellow on the pedestal of comfort.
