FAILURE SOMETIMES MAY BE DIVINE

Have we ever imagined why success is wrapped up in failure? Failure is a breeding ground for success. That a fellow has failed severally does not mean such a fellow cannot succeed someday. The story of Bill Gates that I read on the 12 famous people who failed before succeeding was quite a striking one. At a point in his life, he suffered failure in his first business but he did not give up. Today he is one of the wealthiest personalities on the surface of the earth. Failure sometimes maybe divine for us to learn better lessons of life in becoming celebrities of tomorrow. If Bill Gates had given up years ago, no one would have been talking about him or read about him. For every fellow who is determined to achieve success in spite of a series of failure will ascend the hilltop of glory and social prominence. Dearly beloved let us not give up on ourselves, let us continue to strive and fight to victory and become a major player in the school of success. That dream is still possible.

Our Bible text has put a question before us and it is scripture for comfort. When people fail or fall, there is the likelihood that they will bounce back again if they do not lose hope but keep faith alive. God is aware of this known fact and He has put in every fellow a fighting spirit for success. There are stories of successful people today who at one point or the other in their lives have failed seriously, some in academics, some in businesses, and some in the field of discovery just to mention a few and they did not give up and at the end they were able to conquer failure and are happy to have encountered failure which later served as a springboard for them to higher heights. Failure may be good sometimes but staying in it is bad and dangerous and no one would like to associate with it.

God Almighty is a God of success and He wants us to always overcome at all cost. No matter how long we have failed in our responsibilities to Him and our fellow compatriots, He has given us hope for us not to relent and see what He has assured us in His word in the book of Jeremiah 31:17 (KJV) ‘And there is hope in thine end, saith the LORD, that thy children shall come again to their own border.’ With God on our side, victory is sure and all things are possible (Luke 1:37), He has given us the assurance that He will not fail us nor forsake us (Deuteronomy 31:6). When we do not give up, God gives us the grace to forge ahead and to be a conqueror over all situations. There will surely be light at the end of every tunnel and He will give us peace again.

How can we succeed amid failure? First, is to see God as our helper, secondly is to be determined and have a fighting spirit, thirdly, is for us to read more about people who failed at one point or the other in their lives and they later became successful. Finally is to study the word of God regularly and draw comfort from His word.

Dear Lord Jesus Christ, come and help me to become successful in every failing state I have been and give me the divine insight to convert every disadvantage into an advantage at all times. Amen
