Do you desire to be free from poverty or to have more than enough to give others? This is a good desire but it will take God if what you want is 'riches without sorrow'. Now you Philippians know also that in the beginning of the gospel, when I departed from Macedonia, no church shared with me concerning giving and receiving but you only. For even in Thessalonica you sent aid once and again for my necessities. Not that I seek the gift, but I seek the fruit that abounds to your account. Indeed I have all and abound. I am full, having received from Epaphroditus the things sent from you, a sweet-smelling aroma, an acceptable sacrifice, well pleasing to God. And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus. - Philippians 4:15-19 (NKJV, emphasis mine).
Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal; but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal - Matthew 6:19-20 (NKJV).
Many People are tired of their financial state; they have done so many things only to get little or no result. They have spent time, energy and money pursing money only for money to keep running from them with greater speed. This truly can be frustrating and depressing. But there is a better way to draw money to you and ensure you have enough to also give to people.
Christ admonished that we should lay up our treasures in heaven where they can be preserved and secured; where moth, rust and thieves cannot get hold of them. This talks about sowing into your account in heaven. This guarantees supplies as and when due. This is God's wisdom for unlimited supply of blessings.
The Heaven's Accounts
These are not savings accounts but investment accounts with rate of returns on investment (ROI) being far higher than any percentage any company on earth can ever dream of giving their investors. The returns can be in diverse forms according to your type and quantity of investment. You can withdraw from this account any time of the day. There is never network problem in heaven, once your faith antennae is on you can withdraw. Also, when you are due for payment, heaven pays you without you asking for it. When your cloud is full, your rain falls.
The bank of heaven can never be bankrupted or closed down. As long as you are sowing into your account, heaven will keep paying you, including the generations after you based on what and how much you have invested. The bank of heaven is capable and most reliable like God Himself.
The beauty of it all is that anybody can open an account with the bank of heaven no matter where you come from. There is enough provision for everyone on earth to open an account in heaven. However, for your account to be without any limitations you need the salvation of your soul and you're good to go.
How To Invest In Your Account In Heaven
It takes sowing seeds of all kinds into the work of God and lives of people. It involves giving your money, time, energy and knowledge for the work of the kingdom and also to people according to your ability. Every one of your givings is an investment into your account in heaven. It is pressed down, shaken together and made to run over before returning to you through the hands of men (Luke 6:38). Therefore, the returns you get are multiples of your seeds sown. This means that if you sow nothing you get nothing in return.
Paul And The Philippians
Paul, when writing to the Philippians, acknowledged the seed they sowed into his life, a fruit that abounded to their account; and based on this, he stated that God would supply all their needs according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:15-19). Every investment into your account in heaven attracts God's blessing, and He adds no sorrow with it (Proverbs 10:22).
Elijah And The Widow Of Zarephath
In 1 Kings 17:8-16, a widow in Zarephath shared her last meal with Elijah and she was able to feed her son and herself throughout the famine period. She sowed into her account in heaven and heaven opened abundant supply for her, such that what was to be the source of her last meal never got finished.
Elisha And The Shunammite Woman
Furthermore in 2 Kings 4:8-17, a woman showed a lot care to Elisha. She provided food and a comfortable room for him each time he was in Shumen, thereby sowing into her account in heaven. This provoked a blessing of fruitfulness from Elisha, which heaven honoured. She sowed a seed of love which resulted in a child that she desired to have.
In conclusion, the seeds you sow are investments into your account in heaven which guarantee sure harvest. Never be weary of sowing for you will surely reap if you faint not (Galatians 6:9). What God will pay you will always be more than you can earn. So as you work to earn a living, apply the wisdom of sowing into your account in heaven so as to ensure that you have more than enough to give to others. Therefore, don't keep an empty account.
