Rapture Of The Ready - Introduction

by Phil Jellerson
11/07/2019 / Prophecy

Most Christians exhibit a lively interest in the rapture but they hold false beliefs about it.  I find two particularly false beliefs a bout the rapture which once captured me.  Inevitably these errant beliefs create casual Christians with false hopes.  Christians are urged to truly ponder the following information as it will affect your future.

The first false belief is that of a pre-tribulation rapture. I was weaned on that fanciful event from the start of my Christianity.  Later I was fed that same spoiled spiritual food in Bible college.  It was several years later that the Holy Spirit illuminated the truthy to me that a pre-tribulation rapture is a lie.

What is so wrong with a pre-tribulation rapture?  First and most importantly, the Bible does not teach such a rapture.  It is not my intent here to prove that but I have written an ebook which explains the rapture in detail.  I have been told that it is the best book on the rapture on the internet.  Contact me and I will send you a copy via email.

In addition to being a great deception, a pre-tribulation rapture gives a false security to Christians.  Supposedly, a pre-tribulation rapture will remove the church from this world BEFORE the tribulation of the Revelation.  There are three things wrong with that theory.

     (1) The Bible does not present a pre-tribulation rapture.  (2) A pre-tribulation rapture gives Christians false security.  (3) Having this false security tends to make Christians unready for the rapture which Jesus said we must be - READY.

The second false belief is that ALL Christians will be taken in the rapture.  That has been my belief all my Christian life.  That belief is unanimously accepted by Christendom but it is not supported by scripture.  Not long ago the Holy Spirit again opened my eyes of understanding.  I now vigorously refute a rapture of ALL Christians.  Rather it is a Rapture Of The Ready.

The high hurdle is persuading Christians to listen to this heretofore unheralded rapture truth.  Christians are reluctant to hear anything that contradicts what they believe and often times that is good.  In the case of a Rapture Of The Ready however, it is imperative that they listen because their eternal future rides on it.

The Apostle Paul urged Christians to "...awake out of sleep; for now is our salvation nearer then we believed."  Rom 12:11  The "sleep" that Paul named is spiritual apathy.  The world is filled with sleeping Christians today.  It is time for Christians to awake from sleepy rapture beliefs and believe the rapture of God's Word.  That rapture is a Rapture Of The Ready.

There are different views as to the timing of the rapture. To say that one particular view is “a lie” is mean-spirited. Are you saying that all those who adhere to Pre-Tribulation rapture have been lied to and deceived, even some well known Bible scholars? No matter what one believes, the times in which we live are getting increasingly more and more difficult for Christians. Yes, there are many sleeping “Christians” who do not have a clue that we are living at the end of the Church Age of Grace leading up to the Tribulation Period. The remnant of true Christians who will “endure to the end” is becoming smaller and smaller. No matter what view a person holds the emphasis should be on preparing Christians for very difficult times as we get closer to the Tribulation Period.
