What God is Not

People are often busy.
God is not. He is always available to those who truly want to know Him.

People are often selfish.
God is not. He is the most Generous Person that exists.

People are often fearful, fickle, and self-absorbed.
God is not. He is fearless, faithful, and eternally interested in every detail of your life.

People are often deceived, and deceive.
God is not. He is the Truth, and leads us only into all Truth and right paths.

People are often unjust and blame others.
God is not. He is the God of justice, and took our blame upon Himself.

People are often sick and diseased, and some don’t even want to be well.
God is not. He is divine health and healing, and paid the price through Jesus for us to be whole.

People are often easily offended and unforgiving.
God is not. He is the Spirit of Grace; He forgives, and chooses to not hold our wrongs against us.

People are in often bondage, often in many ways at once.
God is not. He is the Spirit of Freedom Who sent Jesus to make and keep us free.

People are often mockers and scornful.
God is not. He is utterly sincere and positive.

People are often bad listeners.
God is not. He hears your earnest words.

People are often disdaining and dishonoring and disrespectful.
God is the perfect Gentleman and slow to anger and abounding in love. He remembers that we humans are dust. It is His goodness that leads men to repentance.

People are often foolish, like sheep gone astray.
God is not. He is the Wisdom and power by which the world and people were created.

People are often disloyal and use others for what they can get from them.
God is not. He cut an eternal covenant with His Son Jesus and if you know Jesus, He will be forever faithful to you. He will never use you, but will give and give and give to you, and give you the honor of working with Him to accomplish His good will on this earth!

People are always imperfect in their love, but they can learn to love more deeply.
God is not, He is perfect Love, and His Love for us never changes!
