LEGACY - Crafting Your Child's Future With Words - Part 4 - Already Yours!

Exodus 3:14, (AMPC)
The LORD instructed me, to help me learn to better bless my daughter, to use the present tense when I read the Word of God aloud over myself and especially over my child, to speak the verses in the present tense. After all, the WORD was with God, and the Word was (IS) God. The Great I AM is eternally timeless and now. He is outside of time, and unlimited!
That is one reason that, with God, all things are possible, and He is the God of Restoration!
Years ago as I kneeled beside my child at bedtime, I was praying (which is a form of blessing), “LORD, please set your angels over her to protect her.” As a single divorced mom of this darling girl who was only now 5, I was always concerned with her protection--spiritually, emotionally, mentally, and physically, especially when she had to go be in other households. But God is forever faithful! He loves our kids more than we do, and He is the One Who keeps them. Our prays and other blessings definitely help that!
The LORD quietly interrupted my prayer with the thought in my mind that He has already set His angels over us to protect us. His Word says so, in Psalm 91 and other places! So, His Holy Spirit led me that night to start praying His Word, which is now and forever, and changes not; "Jesus Christ the same yesterday today and forever (Hebrews 13:8")!
Also, as Psalm 121:3-4 (AMPC) states, God watches over us every moment of our lives, day and night: "3 He will not allow your foot to slip or to be moved; He Who keeps you will not slumber. 4 Behold, He who keeps Israel will neither slumber nor sleep."
What an awesome God we serve!
Thus, every verse you read as a blessing to pray and proclaim over your children and other loved ones can be spoken as a personal blessing for them--for all the blessings of the Covenant (the relationship you have with God through your faith in Jesus Christ when you are born again) belong to you, and you have the honor and privilege to speak the living Word over your children. You can speak them in present tense, and you can be assured be assured that our faithful God Who is always present with and for us will work with His Word to bring it to pass.
As Isaiah 55:11 states, "11 So shall My word be that goes forth out of My mouth: it shall not return to Me void [without producing any effect, useless], but it shall accomplish that which I please and purpose, and it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it."
So take advantage of every opportunity to speak the Blessing of the LORD--the unchanging, infallible, living Word of God--over your children, in the present tense! You can never go wrong.
Here is an example of how to bless your child in the present tense: "Thank You, Father God, that my daughter loves righteousness [She delights in integrity, virtue, and uprightness in purpose, thought, and action] and she hates lawlessness (injustice and iniquity). Therefore God, [even] Your God (Godhead), has anointed her with the oil of exultant joy and gladness above and beyond her companions," as You state in Your Word in Hebrews 1:9."
For years, I’ve said “Bless you” when someone sneezes (I bet you have too). But when we bless someone, it is powerful and can literally shape their lives for Christ. So you can see that, instead of the Blessing just being "God bless you" after a sneeze or cough, it is literally the power of Jehovah to shape their lives for Christ!
NOW is the day of salvation! So take that Word, speak it in the voice of today--present tense--and the Great I AM, the Author and Fulfiller of His almighty Word, will work with you to shape your child's life for the Covenant promises you already have with Him, as a born again one!
