A Moral Compass

Think back to your teen years. 

Pat Boone had a best seller. His book, ‘Twixt Twelve and Twenty’ was published in 1958.  He released the record, ‘Twixt Twelve and Twenty’ the following year. It peaked at #17 on Billboard charts.

Navigation during the teen years can be a challenge. The generation needs a moral compass.

“He who has clean hands and a pure heart,
Who has not lifted up his soul to falsehood
And has not sworn deceitfully.
He shall receive a blessing from the Lord
And righteousness from the God of his salvation.
This is the generation of those who seek Him,
Who seek Your face—even Jacob. Selah (Psalm 24:4-6 NASB).”

Purity is frequently lost…

“Remember, O Lord, Your compassion and Your lovingkindnesses,
For they have been from of old.
Do not remember the sins of my youth or my transgressions;
According to Your lovingkindness remember me,
For Your goodness’ sake, O Lord (Psalm 25:6-7 NASB).”

Yes, for goodness sake…

“Come now, and let us reason together,’
Says the Lord,
‘Though your sins are as scarlet,
They will be as white as snow;
Though they are red like crimson,
They will be like wool (Isaiah 1:18 NASB).”

He is merciful; God offers all a new beginning!

“Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creature; the old things passed away; behold, new things have come (2 Corinthians 5:17 NASB).”
