LEGACY - Crafting Your Child's Future With Words - Part 16 - Scriptures for Destiny

The secret [of the sweet, satisfying companionship] of the Lord have they who fear (revere and worship) Him, and He will show them His covenant and reveal to them its [deep, inner] meaning. –Psalm 25:14, AMP

He has lifted up a horn for His people [giving them power, prosperity, dignity, and preeminence], a song of praise for all His godly ones, for the people of Israel, who are near to Him. Praise the Lord! (Hallelujah!) -Psalm 148:14, AMP

One thing I want you to note is that the LORD is not just talking about people of Jewish heritage here.

No, “the people of Israel, who are near to Him,” includes every one of us who have faith in the LORD Jesus Christ and have received Him as our Savior. We Gentiles who believe are His people too (Matt 12:21, Rom. 11:11). HALLELUJAH!

Now, take these verses and put the name of your children in them. Speak them aloud to them, and better yet, have your kids speak these Scriptures out loud about themselves--even as they watch themselves in the mirror! Have them speak them to each other, and even encourage them to speak them back to you, and to other family members and friends. Let them video themselves speaking the Word and you can even put them on the internet to encourage others! 

The living Word of God will never return void! (Isaiah 55:11,12)

It feels good to dig in and make God’s Word personal, doesn’t it? And the glory of it can only be measured in Heaven.

Here's another jewel:

Who were chosen and foreknown by God the Father and consecrated (sanctified, made holy) by the Spirit to be obedient to Jesus Christ (the Messiah) and to be sprinkled with [His] blood: May grace (spiritual blessing) and peace be given you in increasing abundance [that spiritual peace to be realized in and through Christ, freedom from fears, agitating passions, and moral conflicts]. –I Peter 1:2, AMP

Another excellent one:

Rather, let our lives lovingly express truth [in all things, speaking truly, dealing truly, living truly]. Enfolded in love, let us grow up in every way and in all things into Him Who is the Head, [even] Christ (the Messiah, the Anointed One. —Eph. 4:15, AMP

Now, customize it with your children's names, and add it to their arsenal!

As I said at the beginning of this book, it was hard to choose just a few Scriptures, because (all together now!): “It’s ALL good!”

Following are more Scriptures I feel would be good to proclaim over your darlings. But it’s your time and your children, so if you just want to dig into your Bible and choose those verses that otherwise appeal to you that you believe God is leading you to speak over them, great. I believe that also, as I do whenever I get in the Word (either in the physical book or online), I find even more, for various situations in my life.

The Word addresses every part of every human life that ever existed! It may not tell us exactly whom to marry, but the Word does tell us to think on the Word and know that, as it is written in Psalm 25 and more, that we who revere the LORD will be shown the proper path to choose.

Go ahead, feast!

By now, you know the pattern. Here are more to utilize:

You are of God and have overcome them, because greater is He that is in you, than he that is in the world. --John 4:4

As for you and your house, you will serve the LORD. --Jsh 24:15

Supernatural signs follow you because you are a believer. You read your Bible, pray, and follow God’s direction…and God moves in your life. --Es. 14:15-16, Jud. 16,17, Rom. 9

You are like a tree firmly planted (and tended) by the streams of water, and you bring forth fruit in your season; everything you do shall prosper and come to maturity. –Psalm 1:3

You open your lips and declare God’s praise. --Psm 51:15

The Word of God that goes forth out of His mouth through yours shall accomplish that which He pleases and purposes, for which He sent it. –Isal 55:8-11

You know that the LORD has chosen you to loose the chains of injustice and untie the cords of the yoke, to set the oppressed free, and break every yoke. –Isa 58:6

You are uncompromisingly righteous and your mouth utters wisdom and your tongue speaks with justice. –Psm. 38:30

You forget the past and strain to reach those marvelous things that are before you. You press toward the mark God has sent you toward. --Phil. 3:13 

By little and little the LORD is driving out from before you all your enemies, and you are increasing and inheriting the land. --Ex. 23:30

Enjoy these and remember, as you speak them over your children, you are also sowing them into yourself!
