Go On Satan

The devil said he'd give me fame,
If I'd only deny God's holy name,
He said he'd make me a country star,
Singing in the honky tonks and bars.

I said, "Go on Satan, I don't want that,
Don't you know by now I'm not turning back,
For God gave me much more than fame,
In the book of life He wrote my name".

When the devil comes to you like a roaring lion,
Don't bow your head and start a crying,
God's made you free, you're not Satan's slave,
A soldier in God's army has got to be brave,
So stand your ground, draw your sword,
And cut him asunder in the name of the Lord.

The devil said if you give me your soul,
I'll give you all the world's silver and gold,
He said, if you bow and serve sin,
I'll make you great before all men.

I said, "Go on Satan, I don't want that,
Don't you know by now I'm not turning back,
For what would it profit, all the silver and gold,
If I denied my God and lost my soul?"

When the devil comes to you like a roaring lion,
Don't bow your head and start a crying,
God's made you free, you're not Satan's slave,
A soldier in God's army has got to be brave,
So stand your ground, draw your sword,
And cut him asunder in the name of the Lord.

The devil whispered, don't believe,
Jesus is just a fantasy.
He's a conception in the mind's of men,
There's no God and you can't win.

I said, "Go on Satan, I don't want that,
Don't you know by now I'm not turning back,
For I know that you're nothing but a liar,
And you're going to be destroyed in the lake of fire".

When the devil comes to you like a roaring lion,
Don't bow your head and start a crying,
God's made you free, you're not Satan's slave,
A soldier in God's army has got to be brave,
So stand your ground, draw your sword,
And cut him asunder in the name of the Lord.
