How to Please God - Part 3

We know that we can never please God until we first ask His Son, Jesus, to forgive us for our wrongs, cleanse us and come into our hearts, and be our Savior and LORD. That is the only way we can get into Heaven when our body dies (John 3:15-17).

But after that, we please God by trusting His Word and obeying Him, and showing respect, just like we trust and obey our parents, teachers, pastors and other people in charge over us.

I Peter 2:13 says, "Submit yourselves for the LORD's sake to every human authority..."

Sometimes we may not understand why people in charge over us are telling us to do something—or not do something—and we may not like it. We may think we know a better way. But unless these people are telling us to do something against God's Word, then God expects us to obey. When we obey authority, we please Him.

It is usually okay to very respectfully ask questions or make a comment about an instruction. But we must remember that God put those people in authority over us and that He knows best, and it is His will for us to obey them. When we obey them, we please and honor God.

Is it easy for you to obey?

Truly, you can never please the great God Jehovah until you receive the forgiveness and cleansing of the blood of His Son, shed on the cross for you over 2,000 years ago! But the moment you truly do, you are part of the eternal Royal Family, you please God, and the Spirit of Jesus helps you do good things!
