Do you have the true Power? Read on, and see…

Magic--whether black (where there is open devil/satan worship, or even the worship/adoration of “vampires”--which do not exist, but are merely a myth!), or ‘white’ (where witches pretend to do good things but who are still working for/worshiping the devil!)--is a form of power. But it is perverted power.

The True Power comes from God, the Holy One!

Since Adam and Eve, the devil has been trying to imitate God’s power. The major way he does that is by “magic,” or “sorcery.” This includes anything to do with: Harry Potter, vampires, werewolves, (neither vampires or werewolves actually exist anyway), unicorns (another nonexistent creature) Ouija boards, Tarot cards, tea leaves, astrology, horoscopes, levitation, seances, divination, soothsaying, Voodoo, augery, enchantments, spells, “white magic,” “black magic,” and more.

Stay away from these things; they may seem exciting, but they are tricks of the devil! They are like cobras who will quickly bite you with poison that kills.

God hates lies. And because He hates lies, He hates magic, because it’s a lie.

The devil is the father of lies, and he uses magic to keep people away from the true power--God. God mentions in the Bible several times that magic is an “abomination”--something so revolting to God that it makes Him absolutely hate it!

Look what God says about it: “There shall not be found with thee any one that maketh his son or his daughter to pass through the fire, one that useth divination, one that practiseth augury, or an enchanter, or a sorcerer…." (Deut. 18:10 ASV)

“And they caused their sons and their daughters to pass through the fire, and used divination and enchantments, and sold themselves to do that which was evil in the sight of Jehovah, to provoke him to anger.” (2 Kings 17:17 ASV)

God hates magic, because it is a very cheap, poor copy of the awesome true Power of God. So he sent Jesus to destroy this and the effects of all the works of the devil. And Jesus, the True Power, did!

Magic vs. Miracles

Magic, or false power, is when the magicians that worked for Pharoah could only imitate the first few miracles God did through Moses. They couldn’t even make the frogs and locusts go away, much less keep their children from being killed.

But miracles happened when God protected His people them from the avenger angel with the covering of the blood of the lamb, parted the ocean for His people to walk through on dry land, and then let it go back to drown the Egyptians as they chased the Hebrews.

Magic is when, in 1 Kings 18, the 450 prophets who worshipped the false God called Baal dressed up and spent all morning doing dumb dances, straining their voices trying to get Baal to wake up (dead gods never wake up), and even cut themselves with knives, hoping their blood and scars would get Baal’s attention.

What kind of “god” is it that won’t even listen (he can’t hear anyway; they just made him up!), and expects you to hurt yourself on purpose?!

As my pastor says, “Cutting among kids is not new; it goes back thousands of years. It’s the same demon that causes it now that caused it then!”

We see a real miracle in 1 Kings 18. Elijah the prophet, who had challenged the prophets of Baal to a contest to prove who was the real God, looked up to Heaven (after the Baal-worshippers had their turn). He said, “Where is the Lord God of Elijah? Lord, show these people that You are God by answering by fire!”

And instantly, the God of Heaven, the true God Who is the true power, sent fire from Heaven and burnt up the sacrifice. Even the water and stones were burned!

The true Power of God comes through the baptism of the Holy Spirit--the true Power of God. When you believe on the LORD Jesus Christ and ask for Him to baptize you in the Holy Spirit, He will!

"If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children: how much more shall [your] heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him?" (Luke 11:13)

God actually commands us to be baptized in the Holy Spirit, in Ephesians 5:and be not drunk with wine, in which is dissoluteness, but be filled in the Spirit, (Eph. 5:18)

And once you receive this “baptism by fire,” He can do miracles through you!

One of the wonderful miracles about being baptized in the Holy Spirit is being able to speak another language--perhaps several other languages!--without ever having to study.

It is actually the Holy Spirit speaking those other languages through us, so that other people, who don’t speak English or whatever language you speak, can hear how Jesus died for them and they will realize they need Him as their Savior, so they can go to Heaven and have a wonderful life here on earth!

That happened in the Bible, and it happens today; people hear the miracle of God speaking about Jesus in their own language through people--including kids like you!--and they receive the Lord as their Savior, making Heaven glad and the devil mad!

Magic is not the power you want. It will only cause you much trouble! But miracles are mighty manifestations (proof) that God is real, that He lives, that He is the only True Power. God is omnipotent, “all powerful.” He is eternal. He is and was and always will be. He is the Champion!

So smart ones like you choose to ask for the baptism of the Holy Spirit, the true Power--of God!
